I got the taco salad bowl and it was so good! Ordered take out and was ready on time per usual, been going here since I was little and created so many memories here. Staff is always super friendly and attentive. Taco salad bowl was a 9/10 just because of how big it was!

Just a typical diner. Nothing fancy. Menu has a lot of options, and you get a fare portion for the price.

Pros: lots of seating, prices, options even for vegetarians. The bread is made at the restaurant and is delicious!! Take some home with you ($5.95/loaf). Fish Friday with more options on their specials than just fish. They also offer shrimp. The food, overall, had good flavor and the dessert options were plenty and yummy.

Cons: try to avoid sitting under a vent (we were a bit chilly). The Greek chicken will tale extra time so patience is huge. It was tasty but a little dry. Not all of the fish is all you can eat, so ask before you order. And the side of veggies that come with the entree was not appealing. The salad was good though. Dessert must be eaten on premises so plan to eat less entree and enjoy your dessert.

Stopped for brunch after a volleyball tournament. Service was incredible! Zero wait time to be seated, get beverages, then food, all very fast. Multiple extra servers floating around constantly attending to any possible need, super friendly. The meat lovers skillet was amazing. My daughter had the steak, which was cooked to perfection. The star of the meal turned out to be the homemade bread sliced thick and served with cream of chicken with rice soup, verrrrry obviously homemade. I regret not ordering extra soup to take home. Insanely delicious AND perfect service? I can’t say enough good things about our experience at Papa G’s today. 1st time there, and it makes me wish we lived closer. I’ll definitely return anytime our travels take us that direction.

The food was fantastic! Everything was homemade and the portions were large. The wait staff very friendly and willing to go that extra mile. We had the pleasure of talking with Rick who was one of the owners / line cooks and he gave us a little history of the restaurant and how the family is all involved. Great people and great restaurant. We will be back, I just wish we lived a little closer. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Hard to write this review. The food is amazing but caught the owner very early on a Sunday morning pour decaf coffee into the regular pot so he didn’t have to waste the decaf. As a coffee lover, this really irritated me. I go to breakfast just as much for the coffee. As wonderful as their food is, I will not go back. This just wasn’t right.

Excellent old school diner with great food and reasonable prices. We went for breakfast and the portions were big and tasty. The soup was delicious and home made. Their home made breads were also excellent, especially the raisin. I would definitely recommend this place.

Toast was phenomenal. Breakfast was alright, ordered an omelet. It comes with 3 eggs, hash browns, skirt steak, everything separate and on side so I had to build the omelet. I was looking for more flavor but they supply seasonings and hot sauce if you need a little more kick.
Nice relaxed environment.
Service was fine but the bread was the best part. Will come back.

Ok, first let me say this is a little place. A diner like from other times with comfort foods and good prices. Greeted as you come in, service with a smile and the food was plentiful and good. Don’t go expecting fancy anything….this is a down home diner with meatloaf, turkey, breaded pork tenderloin smothered in gravy and the likes. They also have a plenty of sandwiches and all day breakfast. They are no longer open for dinner…they close at 3pm now. We are happy to have found this spot and I think we may be coming to try breakfast next weekend. We definitely will be back even though it is a little outside our immediate area but very much worth it.

Just good food is an understatement at this place. The service is excellent in this family oriented restaurant. The home made breads are delicious and such an unexpected item. If you don’t live in Huntley then you just don’t know what an excellent place to enjoy breakfast is here. I will be back with friends, family and colleagues. Don’t miss out!
