Super cute breakfast and lunch spot, but I found the food to be mid:/ On the weekends there’s very often a 25-60 minute wait. There’s no waiting room inside the restaurant, but walking Front Street is a great way to spend the wait. The portions, staff, and atmosphere are all great, but the food was just bland! The lemon blueberry pancakes weren’t lemony at all, and you got that slight tang of rising agent in the pancakes. The Southwest burrito was heavily lacking on chorizo and seasoning. Our waitress and hostess were fantastic, though. Another thing to note is that if you have small kids or limited mobility, it can be hard to maneuver the dining area (and bathroom), due to how small and busy the space is.

Amazing breakfast in downtown Traverse City! Omelettes were delicious and very filling. The New Mexico had a great balance of spice and flavor. Cherry bread was so good! Split the seasonal pumpkin pancake which was cooked perfectly. There will likely be a wait if you go on the weekends but tables turn over quick.

This is an adorable restaurant! It’s bright and cheerful, and while bustling with activity, we still felt like we had a cozy spot to ourselves to enjoy our breakfast. There were so many great choices on the menu, it was difficult to decide what to try first and we will definitely have to come back! The cherry cheesecake French press coffee was fantastic! We loved everything and they gave us very generous portion sizes. Our server, Cambell, was so friendly and kind. A great start to our day and in walking distance of our AirBnB! Thank you, Omelette Shoppe!

Pancakes were great. Got there soon after opening on a weekday. My preference for eggs is scrambled. It tasted too much like the oil or butter from the grill. Everything please was fabulous tasting.

Read the reviews and decided to go. We had to wait for 40 minutes for a table. We just visited some of the shops nearby while we waited since they text you when your table is ready. The French press coffee was a nice touch and delicious. We ordered the omelette and the Starberry Shortcakes It was a solid omelette but the pancakes were amazing. The strawberry cream cheese in the pancakes was not to sweet paired with the brightness of the strawberry was delightful. 10/10 recommend the Strawberry Shortcakes. Great little place… worth the wait.

Classic small town diner experience serving gf breakfast favorites, coffee and juices. They also have a lunch menu. The decor and the ambience welcoming, and homey. The is friendly. Very nostalgic family diner vibes. Great food too.

Lived up here a decade ago, then moved to Grand Rapids for that time, and now we’re happy to be back in Traverse City. We used to eat here a lot back in the day, and we ate at the GR one quite a bit as well. We don’t even attempt to dine in May-October, regardless of the time of day. The food is usually pretty good, yet we’ve noticed a massive shift in quality, portions and prices. I’ve always liked the corned beef hash because it was more homemade style with pieces of beef, but it’s much more expensive, and there’s only a small, countable amount of meat now. The scrambled eggs my son orders now look and taste like a typical chain restaurant…no flavor, and just a flat, greasy almost patty. We order DoorDash for brunch a decent amount, and now on top of the regular price of a side of bacon, it’s an additional $6 extra for crispy bacon, yet we receive only TWO pieces of bacon each time…two pieces! They aren’t even crispy either! Unreal! We understand the price of things have gone up, but this is far too much, and not the quality it was. It’s really sad because we really prefer to support local, but this type of stuff makes it much harder 🙁
