Really great little slice. We got a pepperoni with cherry peppers(phenomenal, sweet, pickled, nice spicey kick), and black olives. Crust, the crust was cooked to perfection with the right amount of char for a brick and charcoal oven. Our waiter Chris M was fantastic, fast and accommodating, had our water out within seconds, and grabbed me some parmesean with a smile on his face. The atmosphere was dimly lit(a plus) and had photos of famous people headshots adorning the walls. The tables were well weathered, with names of years worth of patrons lovingly carved into the top. What a great little spot.

Loved this place! The service was great! That coal fired oven and years of experience add up to some incredible pizza! Loved the whole place. We got the john’s original on half and added kalamata olives to the other side. There was a line to get in, but it moved quickly and was worth the short wait!

Very friendly staffs and the store vibe feels very cool for tourist like me! I had so much fun looking at photos on the wall, it was like seeing history! Pizza did not disappoint! I normally prefer simple cheese pizza but here, pepperoni was superior! The hint of spice in the pepperoni paired so well with the simple base. Definitely worth the visit if u like pizza.

Really good garlic bread, some of the best! The cheese sticks are ok, average but the dip is delicious and the pizza is sol good. I think my favourite in new york. Their reputation is well deserved.

we came for a slice of authentic nyc pizza, that odd ball “one bite you know the rules” guy rated this place highly, so it was on our list. waited outside in the cold for 30 minutes, once we got inside and so I just have small and tightly packed the places we understood why. No complaints, pizza was great, seeing the guys in the kitchen, hustling pizzas out, and watching their system was entertaining and impressive. Would go back, can see why it’s popular. Definitely helped make our nyc experience with the kids compete

John’s of Bleecker Street absolutely lives up to its reputation. The pizza is classic, no-nonsense, and incredibly satisfying—thin crust with just the right balance of crisp and chew. The sauce is bright and flavorful, tasting fresh and well-seasoned without overpowering the pie, and the cheese melts perfectly into every slice.

What really stands out is the consistency and simplicity. There’s nothing flashy here, just expertly made pizza that shows why this place has been an institution for so long. It’s the kind of spot you leave already thinking about when you’ll come back for another slice.

This NY style pizza was delicious, but a little bit on the pricier side. There was a line that we had to wait in outside, but it moved fairly quickly and they were able to accommodate us after 10-15 minutes. I highly recommend their classic cheese pizza. The kiddos loved it! Their atmosphere was cheery and friendly and our waiter was very kind. Bring cash if you go, as there is a 4% cash discount.

After 30 minutes shivering outside in the cold, I got seated in. Ordered the Johns Original. The pizza was ok. Not the best I have had but I would love to try the Sasso next time or maybe a pizza with some toppings. They refused to reheat the pizza even though I told them it was ok to microwave the remaining slices if they don’t want to put them back in oven but I had no option but to eat it like that. Atmosphere was awesome and it was super crowded. Didn’t have to wait inside much for my order. Overall experience was ok.

Best pizza EVER! The crust was perfectly crisp and the taste was just indescribable. We ordered the margarita and we made our own pizza. The basil on the margarita was super fresh and it was so tasty. The waiter was also rly friendly. On the walls, there were picture of celebrities that have ate at the restaurant. I personally thought it was rly cool. Highly, highly, highly!! Recommend.

Annother New York institution I couldnt miss. Once again, I was very impressed. This was my favorite slice I had in the city!
The place is comfy in a lived-in way, the staff is quick/efficient (mostly leaving you alone), and the pizza was perfect (especially if you season it).
I thuroughly enjoyed my experience and I hope to go back again.
Tip: The line builds fast so I would recommend a meal on the early side here.
