Absolutely loved the Harry Potter seasonal menu and the taste of this food is out of this world. The layout could use some work as you have to maze yourself throughout. Also a tighter fit, so it gets WARM with the fire blazing. Can’t wait to go again! Every single bite was delicious. Highly recommend that Honey Feta. You won’t regret it!!!

We were visiting Toledo and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn nearby. Basil was less then a block away and had good reviews so we decided to walk there for dinner. We walked in at 6:30 pm and were told the earliest we could be seated was 8:30 pm. We chose to see if a spot opened up at the bar before figuring out alternative dinner plans. We waited about 15 minutes before 2 seats opened up. We ordered drinks – I had the Vanilla Apple Cider Spritz and my husband had the Sicilian Sangria, then the Tiger Tail Sangria. All were pretty good. For food we split a Caesar Salad (no anchovies), a Pepperoni Pizza and the Chicken Piccata. The Chicken Piccata was amazing, better then the pizza. The Pizza was pretty good, great flavor. The Caesar salad was nice and the soft boiled egg with it was perfection. The only thing that would have made our experience better would be the seating/wait time. When we sat at the bar, there were a few tables open in the dining room. Because we were so close to the hostess stand, we could overhear customers walking in shortly after we got seats (around 7-7:15) asking how long the wait was for a table who didn’t have reservations (like us) and were sat immediately. We were irritated that we were quoted a 2 hour wait when it ended up being only a 30-45 minute wait. Although we were glad we had the ability to be able to wait and eat at the bar (no children), the mismanagement of seating vs time doesn’t seem correct and is a huge way to lose potential business. We don’t know if we would come back if we are in the area again due to this. The food was great but because we are from out of town, we don’t always have the luxury of being able to book a reservation on line due to traffic and travel time.

Great experience. For appetizers recommend the honey whipped feta or baked brie. Enjoyed the Salmon Avocado salad, Beef Carpaccio was solid too. For Pizzas recommend the Truffle Shuffle, Queen Margarita and Four on the Flour. Also, they have good gluten free bread and gluten free pizza crust!

1st time in. Busy on a Saturday night around 7p. Quoted 45 min wait and received a text table was ready 10 minutes later. Initial reaction as we were being seated was that the tables were super close together! ‘The Berg’ pizza, Brussels & Waygu meatballs all tasted great. Pizza was light and airy, but crispy. Service was very average. Waited a long time to cash out. We would visit again but probably for lunch.

First visit. Everything was good, but nothing was exceptional. Good wine selection. The pizza was good but really cheesy and I love cheese but it overpowered everything else. Good pasta, sauce a little odd. Appetizer was our fave dish. The meal ingredient combos were a bit odd to me. I’d probably eat there again, but it’s not going to be my first choice. The restaurant itself was a bit run down looking inside. Could use a spruce up. Wheelchair accessible but not sure about the bathroom I didn’t check. Service was good and friendly. Prices were moderate.

We had the most wonderful experience at Basil Pizza & Wine Bar!!! We went to dinner at Basil right after we got engaged and from start to finish, the evening was absolutely perfect.
Our waitress, Grace, was so kind, thoughtful and attentive. She went above and beyond to make our night feel extra special, surprising us with a complimentary bottle of prosecco (which we were even able to take home!! ) and a free dessert to celebrate.
To make things even more memorable, my parents called the restaurant to cover our bill as a surprise and the staff handled it so seamlessly and graciously. We felt so cared for and celebrated!
This was actually our second visit—we first came on Valentine’s Day and had an incredible experience as well. Basil has quickly become one of our favorite spots and we can’t recommend it enough. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is very nice and the service is truly top-notch. Thank you, thank you to Grace and the whole team at Basil for making our night so special. We will absolutely be back!

We had a good time here… my wife, our daughter, and myself. They selected the Wester Ross Salmon and I went with the Tagliatelle Bolognese plus Meatballs.
The place was quiet, clean, pleasant, and classy without formality or arrogance… VERY nice! The food was very good. They each boxed leftovers, something I’m not very practiced at. We would most certainly do it again.

We have been visiting this establishment since they opened, and it has consistently been a hit or miss. Now it’s just a MISS. Food quality and portions have gone drastically downhill. The last time we visited, I wanted the salmon dish. It came out with a piece of salmon on a bed of rice. Nothing else. No vegetable was available. We were informed by the waitress that the new chef removed the vegetables from the menu. What culinary school did this person attend?! Another time, I had also ordered a gluten-free margarita pizza that was supposed to have a self rising crust. The crust was so hard it was difficult to chew or bite into. A thin layer of sauce, a few globs of mozzerella, tomato, and a few leaves of basil. I’m attaching a picture. My husband ordered ravioli and litterally had 5 pieces of ravioli on his plate. The salads are horribly skimpy, and lettuce does not cost much! The only thing this restaurant has going for it anymore is the outdoor patio. I can not recommend this establishment . They need to seriously up their game regarding meals served.

Absolutely disgusting and foul. How can you sit there and call this slop pizza? First of all both pizzas were cold but the pizza being hot wouldn’t have helped the quality either.
The burg had no sauce on it and was dry and hard absolutely no moisture or flavor. The Margarita pizza was burnt on top. Also, do you know how to clean your grill? The bottom of the pizzas were black and leaving horrible residue on our hands. Can’t believe we spent time and money on this.

Set the alarm in the other night to date night. Been trying to take her to this restaurant for a moment. Every time that I did she wanted to go to Ann arbor instead. So start off with we didn’t have reservations so I was worried that it was going to take a moment to be seated. While we were waiting to be seated they were able to get drinks so I started off with an amazing refreshing espresso shot with a little cream to go with it. For dinner started off with a hippie bowl that was refreshingly tasty and crunchy next to that was a mean cheese tray that had funky cheese creamy cheese and amazing Italian salami. While I was eating I forgot to order my dessert before getting my entree told myself that I would finish it so the waitress came over and recommended the seasonal cannoli filled with creamy light peanut butter and morsels of chocolate chips oh my goodness tasty you really need to try this place out in Perrysburg Ohio
