The Clam Bake – Fort Myers, FL

When we first walked in, I couldn’t help but notice the warm decor, it’s a very nice and clean restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. Our waitress greeted us right away and took our order for oysters, french fries, and coleslaw. The food arrived quickly, everything was cooked perfectly, and the oysters were absolutely delicious. The oysters were plentiful and fresh, though the prices were a bit on the higher side. Overall, a great dining experience with friendly service and quality seafood. We will definitely come back again.

Authentic New England gem in Fort Myers!
Outstanding service from the owner’s daughter—warm, genuine hospitality. My Massachusetts‑born father‑in‑law raved about the Ipswich whole belly clams, and my flounder catch of the day was cooked to perfection. Early bird deals are delicious and fairly priced, and the beer is downright inexpensive. The New England sports and scenic memorabilia make the atmosphere a treat. My advice: go, and go often. We’ll definitely be back!

On a recent visit to a family reunion in Florida, finding a place to get some authentic fried New England whole body Ipswich clams was definitely on my bucket list. Mom said, we have to go to The Clam Bake, and I’m so happy she did. The restaurant is a sports homage to the New England way. As soon as I entered the restaurant/sports bar I felt like I was in Boston again. The atmosphere is invigorating, the energy and vibe is intoxicating and the food is absolutely spot on to what you’d expect to get in a New England restaurant. Would definitely recommend!

A trip to the clam bake is like going to Maine and enjoying a fresh lobster and Soft shell clams. Everything on the menu is fresh and tasty. Don’t miss any of the soups, especially the gumbo.

My family and I have been coming to the Clam Bake for a few years now, and we love it. The service is always top-notch, and we’ve never had a bad bite of food.

We love the family-friendly atmosphere – our kids are always treated with kindness, and the staff is always complimentary of them.

We love the specials – it’s nice to be able to sit down for an excellent dinner and a few drinks without breaking the bank.

Thanks for being one of our favorite restaurants in Southwest Florida!

Eating at Clam Bake is like pulling up a chair to your best friends table. Food is delicious, atmosphere is engaging but the staff and owner make the evening unforgettable. As someone from another state with no family here these people warm my heart.

We had steamers and shrimp cocktail to start. Then I had the fresh grouper broiled with a sweet potato, and my husband had the fresh haddock fried with coleslaw. Both meals came with chowda. Everything was delicious! Servers were very attentive. Highly recommend.

Very good clam strips reminds me of eating back on the shores of Narragansett. They even got the Del’s shandy I can’t even find in Florida. Nostalgic feeling brings me back pure memories in Rhode Island & New England with the pictures of the lighthouses and Boston sports teams on display. Well worth it plan to come visit again soon for better New England Authentic Seafood.
