The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and plays Arabic music. There is an outside patio for smoking. There is a small store selling fancy Middle Eastern coffee sets, backgammon boards, soaps, etc.
The lamb shank was not cocked in the sauce and its taste boiled with some seasoning by it self.
FIRST AND LAST .
However, despite the hype, food is only okay. The mansaf ( lamb shank with rice ) was 7 out of 10 ( to me 5/10 is absolutely terrible and I wouldn’t eat it ). Portion is quite small for a price of $33. You be the judge. The combo kabob had three skewers ( ground beef and chicken and filet mignon) was $30 and needs more rice and tomatoes. The website asked for credit card to hold reservations and if cancel less than 24 hour ahead of time then there will be a $25 charge per person! That’s a turn off especially when there was plenty of open tables when we came in persons.
Rice with mixed lentils in it and very few chicken shawarma pieces shouldn’t cost $30. I would still understand if the portion sizes were big but they’re not. We got 4 tiny pieces of Chicken for our chicken Kebob.
Service was great. Food came out of the kitchen lightning fast and was hot.
Food was even better. I’m not a salad guy and my gosh the fattoush salad was refreshing. The waiter recommended the cheese rolls and they were heavenly. The shawarma wrap was not too heavy and delish. Went with the mixed kabob platter and every single piece of meat was perfectly grilled. The chicken was probably the best-cooked chicken I’ve ever had.
Definitely on my must return list. Place was super clean and atmosphere is great for either a family or a couple.
They don’t even offer a simple date plate and water for breaking your fast. My wife always likes chicken shish kabab here. But this time she could not finsh her plate because it was overcooked and dry.
We hoped to have the lentil soup, but with the heatwave, soup was in short supply. We ordered the blended strawberry lemonade, two appetizers and two entrees with coffee and a dessert. The total was $100 which was surprising, but each dish was done well. The Kibbeh was some of the best I’ve had in a while. Very tasty! Would definitely go back.
