I walked in and loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, I enjoyed the beautiful collection of different plants situated around the restaurant.
We were greeted by the staff with a smile.
Our server was very attentive to our every need. My husband and I both ordered the chicken shawarma, greek salad with greek dressing , both were very good..
The owner also came over and talked with us. I love this place is a family owned business with its history. We will definitely be back for more
A few months ago, I ordered two pasta dishes. Both had some noodles that were oddly hard, like they were either undercooked or overcooked. It wasn’t the entire dish, so I brushed it off as a one-time mistake.
Today, however, was a different story. I placed an online order for pasta and pizza for pickup. The restaurant called me shortly after placing the order, first to confirm they’d received it (something I’ve never had happen before), and then again a few minutes later because the system apparently didn’t show a pickup time. I told them I’d like it ASAP since I was already on my way, and they said it would be ready in about 15 minutes.
While driving there, I got a text saying they needed another 10 minutes due to an issue, but they’d include free baklava to make up for the delay. Fair enough.
When I arrived, they told me they didn’t have a lid for my pasta, so it was packaged differently. That’s not a big deal, but when I got home, not only was the promised baklava missing, the pizza was completely burnt.
I really wanted to keep supporting Romo’s because when their food is prepared properly, it’s delicious. But after multiple inconsistent and disappointing experiences, I think it’s fair to share my honest feedback so others can be aware.
About three years ago, we visited Romo’s and had a great experience. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, leaving us with positive memories. We were excited to return, hoping to relive that great experience, but unfortunately, this recent visit was a major letdown.
The Platter with steak and lamb has the flavor but—both steaks were hard, dry, and overcooked. Similarly, the beef shawarma in the pasta dish had the same issues, leaving us thoroughly dissatisfied. While the burger was passable, it didn’t quite make up for the other shortcomings.
Adding to our disappointment was the lack of transparency on the menu. We ordered garlic fries, expecting something special, but they turned out to be just regular fries. To make matters worse, we were charged an extra two dollars for the “sauce,” which was not mentioned on the menu. This hidden fee felt misleading and left us feeling frustrated.
Overall, this dining experience was underwhelming, especially compared to our previous visit, and we wouldn’t recommend Romo’s if you’re looking for quality Mediterranean cuisine.
I would give 4 stars but the menu is overall very confusing and difficult to read. When I asked questions I didn’t feel like the staff had a great understanding of how to answer my questions to clear up my confusion so I just had to kind of hope for the best. Overall, I’d eat here again but probably not for several months as I just wasn’t wowed by anything I ate here.
The staff was friendly & efficient. The atmosphere was warm & inviting.
It looks look it’s closed from the outside but is inviting on the inside.
Their baklava is great!!
