My family visits this facility every Saturday night night. The visit tonight was definitely our last. Of course, they were busy to be expected. A member of our party never received their food and was told it would not be taken off the bill. The food was given to someone else by mistake. Instead of the manager handling the situation appropriately, he let his young inexperienced waitress escalate the issue as he took up for her lieing to say we were rude when we only wanted the undelivered meal taken off the bill. The service has been subpar for weeks now. It ends today!!! If you want subpar service for your hard earned money, continue to patronize there. Sincerely a Done Customer!! I haven’t been as impressed with San Jose over the years as I used to be but decided to give it another shot today—and I’m glad I did. The food was surprisingly great and it wasn’t very busy on a Saturday at noon. The cheese did was HUGE and the table side guacamole was fresh and delicious! I was also happy to see that their lunch specials run Monday through Saturday.

Our experience was disappointing. Our server seemed withdrawn and slow to respond to requests, which made the service feel inattentive. When our food finally arrived, the plate was hot but the food itself was cold and did not taste good. The atmosphere also felt off there was no music, and the overall vibe was uncomfortable. The waitress did not seem interested in making sure we had a positive dining experience.

We chose this restaurant based on a memorable experience we had here 15 years ago and a craving for Mexican food. Unfortunately, the return fell far short of expectations.
Upon arrival, we were immediately put off by a sign on the door warning customers that even if they didn’t like their food, they would still be required to pay for at least half. The sign also admonished guests for “wasting food.” Rather than being welcoming, the message felt confrontational and off-putting—particularly for a restaurant that should be aiming to satisfy its customers, not threaten them.
Still, it was nearly 8 PM, and with most nearby restaurants closing at 9, we decided to stay. I mentioned the sign to the hostess, who responded by saying she personally loves the food and offered a few recommendations. While I appreciated the gesture, such enthusiasm is the bare minimum from staff—it didn’t ease my concerns.
Service was extremely slow, and things didn’t improve with the food. The nachos were stale, and while I’m not typically one to send food back, I decided to order safe, familiar items: empanadas and a watermelon margarita. Unfortunately, the margarita arrived without a rim and lacked any noticeable alcohol flavor. It felt more like a fruit juice than a cocktail.
Midway through our meal, we happened to run into an old friend who had just finished dining. As she was leaving, the hostess asked if she wanted a box for her leftovers. She declined, bluntly saying the food was “nasty”—a sentiment we found ironically validating.
Sadly, this visit was a letdown from start to finish. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant and certainly won’t be returning.

I git the chicken chimichanga refried beans and rice. The food was delicious and the wait was not long at all. I have zero complaints and i will most definitely recommend my friends and family to go here. The server was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was very clean and tidy. If you want good food come here and enjoy yourself.

Really good food in served fast but the buildings almost easy to miss because it behind another building. I got the Enchilada Supremas, $9.45 and posted a photo. Chips and salsa come with all meals. I found out this is one of over 12 local family owned San Jose Mexican Restaurants in the area. The family member start as a waiter if they want to work their way up to mangement. I met one of them.

Today we ordered takeout as lunch. We had a fairly large order and as we went to pick up the order the man who waited on us was rude. We called in our order and when we asked if the order was correct (one order was no jalapeños for example) the man stares if it has them in it then he can’t do anything and if they have to make it over it will be a charge. When we got back to work with the food the crunchy taco was on the bottom of the bag and crushed. The salsa was watery and the guacamole had not flavor. We got this food last week as well and it was good. Not sure of what happened but it was terrible today.

Our first time there, very nice feel when you walk through the door. Our server was freindly and helpful with the menu questions. Our meal came out hot and very tasty. You have to try the fresh guacamole…so good!
