Ok…appetizers were great. Irish egg rolls were very good. Spinach dip was good. Salmon plate was very small for the price, very small. Chicken Alfredo was over cooked. Fish taco wrap was spicy and full of peppers. Chips with the wrap were soggy. Appetizers were much better than the meal. I should have just said give me 1 of every appetizer. Service was okay. I had the feeling that they didn’t want to work till close. Don’t bend over backwards to come here. Also bathrooms were absolutely disgusting

I had the Topsoil salad, my boyfriend had the Ruben and chips, my older brother had fish and chips. Let me tell you our service was absolutely phenomenal the food was the best meal I’ve had to date this year. This is a perfect spot to grab a bite and a drink. Honestly it’s been a very long time since I’ve had such a good meal and my companions today have agreed their meals were phenomenal. The chips that these guys are making in the back whoa. they are crispy on the outside and soft and pillowy on the inside. The flavor profiles were on point and the fish was absolutely perfect and reflective of being fresh caught! Please consider coming in and having a bite with High Waters Bar and Grill.

Food was great. Took some time to prepare but was worth the wait (which really wasn’t that long). I got the salmon, caesar salad, & chicken fingers.

Also, our server was a total cutie! It was just her second day on the job but she seemed super friendly and smart.

It’s a tough time to review bars like this. The owner was very very into the final 4. To the point he basically ignored all the customers that weren’t his friends or family, while the staff struggled to train me wait staff, cooks, and a bartender. He was having a grand old time getting ready for tip off.

The food was pretty good. Expensive for what you got, but good. The wait staff wasn’t all that attentive and some were doing double duty. Training new people and waiting tables. This obviously lead to less than great service. I don’t blame the wait staff at all. I blame the owner/manager whatever he is.

My staffer gave me my drink for the inconvenience and delays. I tipped him well.

I won’t go back just because of that owner/manager and his constant attention to TV and his friends and family he shipped in for the games while his staff tried to keep up.

An Experience to Remember!! DINE HERE!!
My boyfriend and I sat at a high top table there this evening. I was concerned I wouldn’t get the volume of crab legs my soul was craving; after much hesitation but simply asking the questions, everything was above and beyond our expectations. Sydney was the ONLY waitress on the floor, running the show in FOH. She was quick, extremely attentive and had an upbeat attitude, defeating the circumstances that could have weighed her down. She communicated with the owner on our order, and we were again met with care and accommodation. He was cooking in the back running the BOH show, still making the effort to show his face out front. He did a table touch, introduced himself, we shared our gratitude on such delicious food and their benevolent service. Don’t miss out on what could be YOUR next dining experience at Highwaters. As a current restaurant manager, I am definitely impressed!! Thank you all so much for such a wonderful dining experience. The owner and waitress took care of us, so we took care of them! 🙂

As a local, we have dined here quite a few times. Last two visits we brushed off the little inconveniences of lack of good service and food quality. High waters is one of our daughters favorite restaurants and she chose this place to dine for her birthday dinner.

Last Friday night the restaurant was less than crowded and we were seated right away. After waiting over an hour for our food we were served and it was far from par! My son’s Chicken Alfredo consisted of a handfull of cut up chicken pieces swimming in cream sauce with a side of noodles. I ordered the Lime Cilantro Shrimp Bowl….The bowl was missing, lime, cilantro, corn Pico de Gallo, and Mango Salsa. However, it was served with a visible shrimp shell, what tasted like frozen corn and spinach, topped with mushed salsa. My husband’s shrimp basket was an embarrassment to this establishment. Once he pulled off the pound of fried batter, he found a small shrimp that was so overcooked a raccoon wouldn’t eat it. Thankfully, since we were celebrating our daughter, her butter noodles were on point minus the restaurant not having parmesan cheese.

Our server gave us just enough time to express our complaints of my husband’s dish and she did comp that meal. Clearly, she was embarrassed. Assuming the manager was there because he addressed tables around us asking about their experience. However, we never were able to make eye contact with him to express our experience.

We are NOT the family to make a scene in a restaurant. However, I did email with zero response.

With all that being said, save your $90 and just go straight to Bojangles… bc that’s where we ended up.

Hopefully, this isn’t a new trend for High Waters!

To start off I have to give the bartender a big shout out. Her name was Emily, and she was just amazing! And a young lady who was pregnant, I didn’t get her name but she was great also. They were so sweet and welcoming. We sat at the bar and Emily stayed on top of things for real. She made amazing mixed drinks and was super helpful with all our questions since this was our first time here. Not going to lie, I HATE fish. I crave it because I’ve only found 2 people in the past 20 years that know how to make a good batter and fry fish properly. Let me tell y’all that this fish was so freaking good. I devoured it. It was cooked perfectly and the onion rings were on point. I don’t even know how to explain how good it was to me. With a splash of lemon and dipped in their tartar sauce . . . . And I didn’t try his chicken wings but I know they were good. He got 2 different flavors. He loved them . Ate every last bit. I know exactly what I’m getting when we come back. Next time we are bringing the family though. Restaurant is great and it was clean also. . . Loved it. . . Keep up the good work. I just ate there yesterday but I want more fish. . . .

We were rained out for our beach day, so we decided to give this place a try. It did not disappoint. I had the mini burger sliders. They were amazing. It was seasoned well and flavor was great. Also in our party the chicken tenders basket and shrimp basket were tried. Both were fried to perfection. The shrimp looked crispy and the breading looked so inviting. We finished off our meal with the fried caramel apple rolls. It was the perfect ending. Crispy fried, topped with caramel, vanilla ice cream, and whipped cream. We will definitely be back!

I had such a fantastic experience at Highwaters that I had to take a moment to shout it out. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the food and drinks were on point, but what truly made the night unforgettable was the exceptional service.
Our server, Anna, was absolutely amazing and super friendly. She made us feel completely at home and had great recommendations that didn’t miss. The mozzarella sticks were great! You can tell Anna genuinely cares about making sure her guests have a great time.
To top it off, Christian, the manager, stopped by to check in on us, and you don’t see that often these days. He was down-to-earth, clearly passionate about the place, and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table.
If you’re looking for a place with great vibes, quality food, and a team that really knows how to take care of their guests, Highwaters is the spot. Ask for Anna, you won’t regret it!

Like some of the other reviews here. This was our least favorite experience eating out while we were on vacation. First, we had to wait even though there were open tables. After waiting we were seated and waited even longer. While we were waiting again, we decided to take some family photos and one of the waitresses was kind enough to offer to take one of all of us. The waitress we actually got unfortunately was not nice at all. We ordered our food and waited more… when our food finally came, mine was cold. I only ordered a bowl of soup. I told her she ran away with it and brought it back, again not pleasantly. No apology, nothing.
