Aurora’s Westside is always a favourite stop! Every time I’m in, I can’t resist their Cajun Chicken Pizza .. totally unique to them and absolutely delicious The flavour, the portions, the recipe… it’s all top-tier and never disappoints. A must-try if you want something different and amazing!

Coming home for a visit during Christmas to the Sault, I had a craving for pizza!! It’s only fitting my first restaurant review in Sault Ste. Marie goes to the place that inspired pizza in this Northern Ontario town.
My family has a history with the Aurora’s restaurant going back to the location on McNabb Street. What I remember of the Sault Aurora’s Restaurant, it originated with Aurora Butkovich, (nee Gasse) who was known around town in the 80’s and 90’s as the “Pizza Queen”.
Her recipe gave rise to many other pizzerias in the area, but the original has remained a steadfast staple in the community for decades. Our pizza tonight did not disappoint. From placing the order with Kayla to the friendly delivery person who delivered our crave-satisfying ‘Za’ … Aurora’s delivered the best pizza I have had in years!
We ordered a large Hawaiian, Pepperoni and a personal size chicken Alfredo pizza .. all three were next level. The cheese and pepperoni were bountiful and flavourful … the crust was tasty and held the pie perfectly!!
My sister met her husband while working at Aurora’s almost 30 years ago … that’s Amore!! She also had the pleasure of working with Karen and Victor, who are the current owners of both the Hillside and Westside locations (along with their 3 sons … it’s a family affair ✨ ). HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on maintaining the quality and flavour we have come to expect from Aurora’s Pizza! Bravissimo!!
My sister’s carousel horse pin (pictured) was the inspiration for the mould of the pin given to retirees. I also remember the beautiful Christmas decorations that use to adorn the McNabb location. The carousel horses were magical and I remember the train that was just out of reach but was definitely part of every child’s Christmas imagination.
There is no place like home – this has never been more true when you add pizza to the equation!! Thank you for satisfying my craving with authentic tasting pizza – it has remained the best for years – simply a must try when you come to the Sault!! Ciao Ciao.

The service was great; the meal was mediocre. I ordered chicken piccata and was served chicken with gravy and canned mushrooms. There was no flour, lemon juice, wine, chicken stock that are staples in this recipe. I am sorry that I did not return the meal and order ribs instead which are always delicious.

This used to be our “go to” but no longer.
We always order adult meals with a couple children’s meals from Sandros Italian restaurant.
We tried to order that take out from Auroras and was told you cant order children’s items to go. Why? Its just a smaller portion than the adult size!!!!
We dont bother wasting our time with Auroras anymore.
Sandros is much, much better for Italian food!!!

Really nice place at the SOO. The chicken Parmesan and the spaghetti with meatballs were really tasty. The people super nice and the place is cozy. Recommended.

Ordered a couple pizzas, some Caesar salads and cheese fingers around 4:10pm. Food didn’t arrived until after 6:00pm.
Everything was cold and the wrong salads were sent.
When we called to let them know that we were unhappy with the service, we were told that a delivery of part of our order was promised immediately and the manager also promised to reimburse half the cost of our order. No delivery was ever received nor was a refund.

Place an order for food for pickup. When my wife got there to pick up, they said they never got the order. After showing proof of the order, they offered to deliver and get the order going asap. The food still never showed up till 1 hour and 50 minutes after the original order was placed and one hour after they said they would get the order going right away. When it arrived, the panzerotti was small and about half the size than other places. Not very impressed and likely won’t be ordering from them again.

I always look forward to coming here whenever I’m in the Sault to eat the oven baked tortellini smothered in cheese. So good! Was happy to have the same lovely and delightful server, Monique, who also served us one year ago. Thank you for your friendly and warm attitude!

Terrible service, 2 hours for a pizza that was cold and stuck to the box (this isn’t the first time), panzeratti that was burnt, ceazer salad was terrible…. Romaine with croutons and very little dressing… really that can be messed up? And guess what no manager on site to speak too! Clearly they don’t plan to stay in business!!!
