Love the simple interior! It’s a fun, affordable Japanese spot with dishes coming straight from a tiny open kitchen. I sat by the shop window and watched the chef freshly batter and fry every katsu – very satisfying. The chicken katsu is incredibly crispy, and the cabbage slaw is really tasty. The sauce feels like a comforting convenience staple, but for a take-out–style eat-in experience, it works just fine.
Service is very friendly. Overall, it’s a classic no-frills Japanese eatery and a great option for a quick bite or lunch.

The prices are fair for what you get. The ramen was too simple, udon noodle and dumplings were fine. We really liked the katsu chicken though. The only negative part was the heavy food smell inside the place. It is not bad, but it sticks to your clothes. They should ventilate the place better.

One of the most established Japanese restaurants in Berlin. Although many trendy Japanese restaurants, ramen shops, cafés, and bakeries have opened in recent years, I still find myself craving the Katsudon here—and it’s always fully booked whenever I visit. There’s something special about the calm atmosphere and consistently delicious food, and the warm, homely service makes it an incredibly comfortable place to dine. Definitely recommended!

The miso soup was absolutely delicious light refreshing and perfectly balanced. The udon broth had a gentle blend of sweetness and saltiness creating a soft comforting flavor and the noodles were cooked perfectly to the right texture. However the tempura was a bit disappointing it felt too flat in taste lacking the seasoning to make it stand out. Overall a satisfying meal except for the tempura which could use a bit more flavor and finesse.

Very nice Japanese restaurant with many choices in menu, I really liked the bento boxes set with katsu and katsudon. Everything tastes really authentic. There are tables with seats inside, however the restaurant can get full pretty quick. The staff are very kind.

Excellent place. I had the katsu with cabbage and rice and it was so abundant. Also had 2 sushi pieces that were delicious as well. My friends had bento boxes and ramen and were very happy with it. Will be back soon!

Japanese restaurant service authentic food at a very generous price in decent quantities, which made me impressed. Their Katsu is very good, the rest of the food was okay, but for the price I would say it is very worth it. The ambiance is very warm and the workers there are very friendly. They also have many different japanese beer which are delicious. The restaurant can easily get crowded in the evenings, especially in the weekends as it is not very big inside. Mainly giving 4 Stars here because they only take cash.

You come in and order at the counter. Next to the counter you see a nice menu with a great available selection of japanese and traditional Asian dishes.
We had a Chicken Katsu Curry (which I had at Udagawa the first time around 8 years ago).
The quality of the dish was amazing, quality and quantity superb. The service is super kind and very helpful. They accept EC and credit cards which still many places in Berlin lack.
Would recommend and will always go back to try out more dishes.

The food taste is 4 star out of 10, but it looks good. The restaurant is quite small. They have different kind of Japanese food and price is inexpensive so I would give a chance again.
