We celebrated my wifes birthday there last night and were thoroughly impressed, both by the food, and the service. Westarted with a shared shrimp coctail, totally big and tasty shrimp, great coctail sauce… I had a7oz filet with peppercorn sauce and my wife had a 6oz sirloin with a lobster tail. Finished the meal sharing a creme brulee. The food could not have better. And the service, holy wow. I cannot thank Pat (with the odd spelling lol) enough for making our visit memorable. She asked about food allergies and I told her that I am allergic to shellfish (not seafood), and every single person that came to our table mentioned the allergy, and they had made sure that whatever they brought had not been touched or on the same grill… I have never experienced this level of courtesy. So, Thank to everyone at the Keg in Waterdown for making her birthday dinner so memorable…

This keg specifically the waterdown location is amazing. The staff at the keg are so nice but what I love most about this place is we are always greeted by Ashley Wynter with a lovely smile and conversation. She is lovely and the reason we keep coming back is because of Ashley. She makes The Keg feel so welcoming and it is a wonderful atmosphere. Highly recommend the waterdown Keg and if you get Ashley as your server EVEN BETTER! Thank you Ashley for all that you do; you make birthdays, celebrations so much more than just a night out for dinner. We will definitely be back. ❤️

One of the best Keg locations around! I’ve visited Burlington many times, but this spot is absolutely worth the extra drive. The staff is outstanding, and the food was flawless.

Two stars, would have given one, but a few of the experiences have been great. Ordered for pickup at 830 PM tonight, and… It was interesting.

However, ordered a prime rib, 14 oz?, the larger size, and a NY Strip for takeout.

Ordered med rare, the rarest a prime rib can be.

It was probably… Beyond well done. I wouldn’t have written this review if it was simply well done, it was disgusting. Bone dry. Crumbling edges, so hard you can’t bite through, so hard, you couldnt eat. It was overcooked so far, that it was as gray as cat food. But even cat food is more tender than this.

I want to give the benefit of the doubt. But, I don’t know who in the kitchen would think this would be even remotely acceptable for one of the thickest slices of prime rib to be so overcooked that it is grey, then put it in the container to serve. The unfortunate reality is, even someone with basic cooking skills (ie; has made a pancake with boxed mix), would have known better. But then to expect this from the Keg when you pay over $60 in cash? (Well, much more, because there were two streaks).

Even if it was well done, if it was a quality steak, it should be edible and fairly tender – even if cooked through. But no. It was horrendous. Either it was so overcooked it would put a chef on Kitchen Nightmares to shame, OR it was overcooked, and the quality of the roast was poor – perhaps older stock? Only as my wife’s steak was noticeably chewier than normal as well. Certainly a waste of $120 during the holidays unfortunately.

Hopefully the restaurant can make this right. One extra star as usually the steaks are much better… But this was particularly awful… Again, if it was just overcooked but tender/edible, I wouldn’t be writing this. This was bad. This was dog food.

First time at this location and everything was phenomenal from start to finish. Steak cooked to perfection, and the highlight was our server. Oliver was amazing and definitely an asset to the team. Attentive, proactive, charismatic and had all the qualities of a superb host for the evening.

Definitely will be back here again!

Celebrated my birthday there . Food was amazing. Prime Rib with Mushroom Rice was done to perfection. My hubbies choice was New York steak with baked potato. Green beans and beets. He said his steak was good but he has had better. And to top off the evening a huge slice of Billy Minor Pie. A huge slice served with a candle for my birthday. No charge on the pie by the way.. nice bonus.

We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating several February birthdays on February 20th at The Keg Steakhouse in Waterdown, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Our party of seven felt completely taken care of, and that is entirely thanks to our incredible server, Chris.

Chris is, without a doubt, the best server I have ever had. He was attentive without being intrusive, genuinely warm, and impressively knowledgeable, especially when it came to accommodating two members of our family with specific dietary needs. He handled everything with such professionalism and ease that it allowed all of us to relax and truly enjoy the celebration.

What stood out most was how far he went above and beyond to make our evening feel special. By the end of dinner, Chris felt less like our server and more like part of the family. His warmth and presence made the entire evening feel even more personal and memorable.

I firmly believe in giving credit where it’s due, and Chris is the reason we’ll be returning to The Keg Waterdown. If you’re dining there, you’ll be lucky to have him. An exceptional experience all around!

I ordered a 14 oz prime rib and received a 10 oz by accident. This was probably for the best as I overestimated my eating ability. I just asked to change the bill but they offered an additional 10 oz prime rib free of charge (ended up getting sides as well). I thought this was extremely generous and above and beyond what they needed to do. The food was amazing and our waitress Sarah was excellent. This location has great seating arrangements so it doesn’t seem as loud. I would highly recommend this location and look forward to returning again.

I visited for Mother’s Day brunch with my family. The food and service were good! Keg offers complimentary bread for adults and fruit slices for kids. The kid menu was inclusive of drinks and ice cream, which was great for me. The parking here is free parking, I also recommend making a reservation before visiting.

10/10 experience tonight!

We went out for a family dinner, and anyone with a toddler knows how unpredictable dining out can be. Our server Crystal was super personable from the beginning and made for a smooth dining experience all night; she was so lovely and attentive.
The icing on the cake? I (the momma) did a lap around the restaurant with our little guy because he decided that he was DONE with being in his high-chair, coincidentally right when our entrees arrived. And we’re happy to do this because we get that’s how it goes sometimes in toddler world. But on my way back to the table, we again ran into the manager Michael and he offered to take our son for another lap around the restaurant so I could get a few bites in while my food was warm. Seeing how our son naturally gravitated to him, I felt comfortable and our son seemed to love it even more…especially when he was introduced to the ladies (shocker). This small act was so generous and thoughtful, and it gave my fiancé and I a few minutes of connection and quiet – which we are eternally grateful for.

The food was great. The service was spot-on. And the level of attention and care couldn’t be beat.

Thanks guys!
Signed,
The parents of a beautifully-energetic toddler.
