A cozy spot in west chester for breakfast/brunch. It’s a small space that does not take reserverations, so plan to wait on weekends. As this is a small space, I would not recommend parties of 5 or more. It was quite tight with just the 2 of us.
The food was really good, highly recommend the french toast bites. The outside had perfect crisp with a soft inside. The portion size is perfect for sharing with someone as well.
The service was good with the server coming around at the normal intervals to check on us.
Overall nice establishment and plan to return.

Everything about this place is amazing! All the servers are so nice and friendly and made sure we were taken care of throughout our meal. The food was fantastic – we shared the French toast bites and the mushroom soup, and for entrees we got the pork belly benedict and the autumn scramble. Everything was delicious and nicely presented. The vibe in the restaurant is so cool, and I loved everything down to the plates and bowls! Will definitely be back and highly recommend!

We love coming to Roots whenever we are eating with someone from out of town! The food is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is so cool and funky! Would recommend Roots Cafe 1000/10 times!!

Finally tried Roots Cafe and I’m so glad I did! The space feels so warm and welcoming, and both the indoor area and back patio are beautiful. I had the pumpkin french toast bites and the autumn scrambler and both were delicious! I also tried the vanilla pear cocktail and it was amazing The staff were so kind and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Overall, I loved my visit and Roots is definitely one of my new favorite brunch spots in West Chester!

The best in season, freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned and beautifully plated food! We love Roots and Bryann took great care of us. They have the BEST Bloody Mary! This time we came for lunch and I finally tried the hot chicken sandwich that I’ve been watching forever! It did not disappoint. My husband raved about the pear and mascarpone French toast. Yum!! We will be back soon.

Roots is the most wonderful brunch spot! Anything you order is fresh and delicious. The staff are always extremely friendly and attentive, and the vibe and decor are cute and cozy. All around fantastic experience and a must-try for anyone who enjoys brunch (or great food in general). The menu is updated seasonally while the “classics” stick around so there is something for everybody. It is a challenge to choose favorites on the menu because everything is so good, you really can’t go wrong. Our recent favorites are the french toast bites, hot chicken sandwich with their house-made hot sauce, and any of the benedicts. They also have a great cocktail and mocktail selection! If you come when the weather is nice, we highly recommend sitting on their patio. You can tell the staff really care about the quality of their food and service. They can also accommodate for gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. 10/10 every time we visit and absolutely well worth any wait time for a table!

Absolutely love this restaurant. The menu is absolutely amazing every time- you can never go wrong. I had fantastic service today from Corey while catching up with my coworker. Every drink was spot on, and I am picky with my spicy margs and espresso martinis. Corey’s recommendations for food were perfect, both my coworker and I chose from his top 3 and loved our meals. Everything came very quickly and not a single thing was wrong. The pricing is also very fair for the quality of everything! Will be making this our new regular spot.

My girlfriends and I enjoyed every minute of our visit here. The place is very charming. The food was delicious and the Bloody Mary was perfect! Best of all, our server Kate was beyond accommodating. She was very kind and had excellent customer service skills. We will be back for sure!
