A great addition to the area! We really enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and the fresh take on Indian cuisine.
The Highlights:
Samosa Chaat, Pav bhaji & Chai: These were the stars of the show! The Samosa Chaat was flavorful and hit all the right notes, and the Chai was the perfect follow-up. Pav bhaji was well balanced and tasty .
Naan Pizza: This was amazing and a total win for our 4-year-old. It’s the perfect kid-friendly option.
The Bowls: The bowls were good and used fresh ingredients, though they weren’t quite as outstanding as the other dishes we tried.
The Vibe:
The decor here is great—there is a long stack of books about Indian cuisine that was such a thoughtful and beautiful touch. Also, don’t miss the unique hand-washing experience; it’s a very cool, high-tech feature that makes the visit even more memorable!
Overall, a wonderful spot for a quick, delicious meal. We’ll definitely be back.

Our 4th visit to this Choolah, owner and staff are super friendly and welcoming, after I mentioned that it was our 4th visit the owner graciously gave a next meal on us coupon, which I will definitely cash it next time. The quality of food and proteins is really amazing, the sauces are mind blowingly tasty. Specially the mango sauce, even the mango lemonade is delicious.
We took takeouts for lunch on our drive home and it tasted great just to perfection. It takes great effort to install a tandoori oven and they mastered the tandoors, very few restaurants have it and thats the man secret behind amazing tandoori rotis.
I will definitely visit again. Very spacious and beautifully designed interior.

This place is Indian Panera. Food made on a conveyer, always a little off (frozen?) and very overpriced. I have allergies and this is a unique place that I can get a high protein meal with veggies; it’s an occasional treat. However, a good meal comes out to be like $20 easily, which can get you a fabulous entree at a sit down Indian restaurant, let alone at a place like Chipotle where you easily get 4x as much food per $. Price would literally have to be half to get 5 stars. Photo is $20 meal.

We picked up takeout from here and it was amazing!! Super fresh, flavorful, so many healthy options, and all around a great assortment of food. I’ve never had “Indian BBQ” before so this was a great first experience!
My favorite items were the Perfect Balance Bowl with chicken, the Samosas, and the bread!! Also, the lamb meatballs inside the wrap were great!
This is a great alternative to picking up junk food or “fast food”. The quality is great, vegan and vegetarian friendly, and just all around super inclusive for everyone!

Delicious Indian food offerings! Don’t let the “fast food” label fool you; the food and service are top notch
This restaurant is super vegan friendly, with clear labelling of every single option. The service is also fantastic; the folks working there were very friendly and helpful!
There is an awesome selection of vegan choices! I had the Perfect Balance Bowl with Chickpea Masala, Tofu, added Veggie Croquettes, Tamarind Apple sauce (this is great for folks more into sweet than spicy like me). The bowl included roasted veggies and a base, which I opted for brown rice. I also had some wheat naan and the mint ginger lemonade. Everything was super well seasoned and flavorful.
Highly recommend Choolah! It’s a great place to go that satisfies many dietary restrictions without limiting the flavor. I’m adding Choolah to the list of favorite restaurants for sure!

This was my first time here, and I absolutely loved it! The food was delicious—fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The service was great too; the staff was super friendly and made me feel welcome. I’ll definitely be coming back if I get the chance, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal and great service!

We had lunch at Choolaah and really enjoyed everything we ordered. The Choolaah salad was so good with salmon. The paneer bowl was awesome too, but the best were the chicken and lamb wraps. Nice, casual place to eat.

The food is really good full of flavor and clearly made with care. The bread especially stood out. it tasted freshly baked, soft on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside, which added the perfect touch to the meal.

I visited Choolaah in East Liberty and Corey , the managing partner, genuinely made the stop worth it. He helped me with my order, walked me through a couple of options without rushing, and our conversation didn’t feel forced or scripted. You can tell he actually pays attention to people. It’s rare to find someone in management who’s that present and helpful from start to finish. Because of Corey, the whole experience felt smooth and welcoming. I’d come back just off the strength of the service alone.

This is an Indian style, fast food restaurant centred around Indian barbeque, which is very different than a western style Barbeque. The space is large, clean and modern, and very interestingly doesn’t look Indian like a lot of other Indian restaurants do. I’m not saying it’s a good thing or a bad thing, but that is one thing that stood out to me. The menu is quite small with bowls and wraps and some other fast food. I got the rice with black lentils, which was very creamy and nice and also kind of cheap. but then the quantity was quite less, so I guess it was similarly priced given the quantity like other average Indian restaurant. we also had the chicken wrap, which was quite good. The chicken was smoky and seasoned well, and the sauce inside the wrap was extremely delicious. Our only complain would be that the wraps were not piping hot as we are used to back in India. We asked them why it was so, and they said that the sauces that they use in the wraps were cold. Definitely a good place to go if you want some quick Indian food.
