I came here early to avoid the crowd. It works I have the dungeon crab sandwich & fries, it is delicious! The crab sandwich is unbelievably yummy. I am happy and definitely will visit again for their lobster and clam chowder.

Lovely small restaurant and vibe. The crab cakes were delicious but oversauced and the salad was overdressed (for my tastes). I’ll get the sauce and dressing on the side next time. Interestingly the lemonade was a do it yourself drink which was unique and excellent. Great service. Overall a 4.8 star lunch experience.

Had Cary nice waitress and hostess. Restaurant was clean food was amazing, clean restroom (only one),small corner neighborhood restaurant. COD fish was fresh tasting, perfectly fried, not greasy. Clam chowder was a huge bowl, tasted as good or better than any Maine clam chowder or other I have had highly recommend!

I came for the Cioppino and good God I got it. This was an excellent dining experience my second best in all of San Francisco. I couldn’t have asked for too much more. The Cioppino can easily feed two people but it was soooooooo good I ate it all by myself. Every component of the dish was prepared astonishingly nothing was overcooked and the flavors were exceptional . My only regret is not with this establishment but it was my fault that I didn’t get to share it with the one I love. Staff was friendly and responsive. Top notch all the way. If you find yourself in San Francisco you would be doing yourself a disservice if you miss this experience. If you have read this review thank you. You have been great I have been Mike C!!

Lobster Rolls are delicious, and the Squid Ink Spaghetti is also awesome, which is not too salt and cheesy. The waiting time is about 10-15 minutes, but sometimes you will spend more time to find a parking slot because it’s limited for street parking.

I saw the $16 lobster roll deal and had to come check it out.
Was it worth the hype? Definitely yes!

We got lucky — there wasn’t a line when we arrived, but the space inside was still pretty crowded.

We ordered the special Tuna and Scallop Crudo, the lobster roll, and the crab cake.
The Crudo was really nice — it was actually my first time trying it, and I already loved it!

I especially loved their crab cake. It came with a refreshing salad, and the whole plate felt super light and not heavy at all.

And seriously, you can’t beat a $16 lobster roll deal! You can tell they actually use whole lobster meat — so fresh and buttery!

The store also offers $1.25 oysters every Tuesday, so you can grab both deals at the same time!
The lobster roll promotion ends in two days — hurry and get it while you can!

Order:

– Tuna melt: very tasty, served hot
– Short cake: it’s made with a biscuit, not an actual short cake

Notes:

All the tables around us had great looking dishes. Curious to try the ceviche next time.

Food was delicious, we ordered the clam chowder, artichoke bread, and the grilled squid special- everything was prepared with care and creativity. The butter was dusted with charcoal salt, which elevated the already amazing bread. Ambiance was elegant, beautiful, even the music in the bathroom was a pleasant surprise. Service was friendly and prompt

Visited Woodhouse Fish twice in April for their 16-year anniversary $16 lobster roll promo. While it sounded like a great deal, the rolls were noticeably smaller than what my friends and I had seen online—definitely left us wanting a bit more.

The lines were also insanely long, though it’s unclear if that was just due to the anniversary special or if it’s always like that.

Overall, the food was decent, but the experience didn’t quite match the hype. I made a video review with more details in case you want a deeper look at what it was like!

I truly do not know how this place has as good of reviews as it does. The only redeeming quality is the friendly service. The space is dirty, we sat by the window and there was food crumbs and scraps lodged into the window sill and booth cracks.

The food was utterly and completely BLAND! The lobster is definitely FROZEN and not fresh, completely rubbery and dry. It was unsalvageable, no amount of salt or sauce could save it. For the price it was absolutely a scam. It feels like a tourist trap which is odd given its location. If you have taste buds, skip it please.
