Today we found this hidden sushi buffet place off the beaten path, a 20min motorbike ride from our home.
We got there right when they opened for lunch and within 30min the place was packed with locals. They have 3 levels all you can eat option. We took the the cheapest for $20 ALL YOU CAN EAT including tax, soft drinks and dessert…. I mostly focused on the sashimi, the steamed edamame and the shrimp tempura. So,
it’s not really a buffet, you order from a menu via your phone and within a few minutes your dishes gets delivered.
It was easy and the service was friendly and fast. The quality of the salmon and tuna was great….
For dessert we tried all the ice cream options. My favorite was the Hokkaido milk ice cream. Omg, it was so delicious.
The only thing I didn’t like was the local soda options, the Thai coke tasted like DrPepper with a shot of NyQuil…lol

From the moment you walk into Tsunami Sushi Buffet, the atmosphere feels genuinely warm and welcoming. Every staff member greets you on arrival, and when it’s time to leave, they all somehow manage to say goodbye — a rare level of hospitality that truly stands out.

The food is outstanding: exceptional quality, generous portions, and beautifully presented dishes. Each plate arriving at the table looks exciting and tempting, making the dining experience feel abundant and indulgent.

A tip for first-time visitors: the Happy Menu is more than sufficient. Even the most enthusiastic sushi lovers will struggle to finish it, making the Gold Menu an ambitious choice for most diners.

What really sets Tsunami Sushi apart is the value for money. The pricing feels almost unreal given the quality, portion sizes, and overall experience.

Warm service, delicious sushi, and unbeatable value — Tsunami Sushi Buffet is a place you’ll leave happy and already planning your next visit.

Overall, I would honestly rate this place an 8.8–9.2 out of 10, based primarily on the outstanding value for the quality of fish. At this price point, it’s hard to ask for more — they truly hit the mark. The fish quality exceeded my expectations for a buffet, especially the uni, which had a sweet, clean flavor, and the salmon roe, which tasted impressively fresh compared to what you often encounter elsewhere. The variety of offerings felt well above average for the price.

Service was excellent. Our waitress and the manager were both incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating. I didn’t want to order through the phone system and instead placed our order verbally, and it was never an issue. We also requested smaller portions so we could try more dishes, and they adjusted without hesitation. Not once did I feel rushed, dismissed, or like a burden — every interaction felt genuine and respectful.

Presentation was solid — not ultra-formal fine dining, but very good given the scale of service and the value being delivered.

The only reason I don’t give this a perfect score is the atmosphere at the sushi bar. The chefs were continuously joking and talking with one another throughout most of our meal — not just an occasional laugh, but regular high-volume chatter for about an hour. While the energy was positive and clearly rooted in genuine camaraderie (which I truly appreciate), the volume level was a bit distracting and took away from the calm environment I was hoping for while dining.

I understand this isn’t a thousand-dollar private omakase experience, but when guests are paying around $30 for sushi, the environment is still part of what we’re paying for. A slightly quieter, more service-focused bar atmosphere would elevate an already excellent experience into something truly top-tier for its category.

As someone who has previously owned restaurants, I want to say how refreshing it is to see a team that is genuinely happy, kind, and respectful toward guests — that’s not easy to create, and it shows here. I felt welcome as a customer from start to finish, never like a “means to an end,” and that’s something I deeply value.

All things considered, I absolutely recommend this place and will without hesitation return. The fish quality, service, and overall value are genuinely impressive. With just a little extra attention to maintaining a calmer bar environment, this restaurant could easily be one of the best options at its price point.

Nice concept offering sushi buffet as much as you can eat.

But be aware if you dont finish the food, they charge for each dish.

I was not informed about that, and I suffer a really bad time trying to finish all what I ordered.

If they woukd have informed me before hand, I wouldnt irder so much!!

In the end I had to pay an extra for spare food.
Food was fresh and of decent quality.

Sushi rice was not good quality. Sashimi all not fresh actually stinks. I even spitted out in tissue. Meat dry. Unfriendly staff. I have been living here more than 2 years but congratulations you are the worst now in Thailand.
