We’ve returned multiple times over several months trying to give Buck Hill Brewery another chance, and the experience continues to be unacceptably inconsistent.

This is the third takeout order of the Chickenator sandwich where the chicken cutlet was shockingly thin, about a third the width of the French fries. When ordered in-house, it’s consistently thick and hearty, which makes it feel like takeout customers are being shorted.

We also dined in recently and ordered the short ribs, which were almost entirely fat with virtually no meat, and when we mentioned it, our waitress argued with us instead of addressing the issue.

We’re not difficult customers, but between inconsistent food quality and dismissive service, this has become a pattern. It’s a shame, because the ambience is great.

Stopped here after The Land of Make Believe. This is much more of a restaurant that has a large beer selection than a brewery. They have indoor and a very large outdoor seating area. Also indoor bar with seating and TVs. They have a kids menu (cheeseburger, chicken fingers, pasta, etc). They do not (currently) have any ciders on the menu, but they do serve beer based flavored hard seltzers and also have a decent wine selection. Service was great and all of the staff were very friendly. No games that I saw (unlike other breweries).

My experience was great! I had the Cuban, my boyfriend had the fish and chips, and we shared the poutine fries. My food was fabulous, my boyfriends was good but just a little too much breading on the fish. But we both still loved the experience! Our waitress was absolutely amazing. Everyone working was constantly moving, had a smile on their faces, and were so so pleasant. The power briefly went out, and the staff still proceeded taking care of the customers with ease. I would absolutely recommend this place and come here again!

This was a great place to grab lunch after visiting the Lakota Wolf Preserve near by-a must visit for anyone within hundreds of miles of here.

Our food here at Buck Hill was very good. My wife liked the pulled pork sandwich very much. My rib eye sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. I would suggest two simple improvements, however. The rib eye had two grizzly bits that made it impossible to eat that part. I would have appreciated those areas being cut out before my sandwich was made. And I would also suggest the rib eye meat itself would be more easily eaten if it were sliced just before the sandwich was made as well (sorry). Other than that, the rib eye sandwich was a triumph of flavor. I licked my fingers every time I put that sandwich down.

When visiting Blairstown this is our favorite meeting place. The menu often changes, but always offers a wide selection of appetizers, salads, burgers, tacos and entrees. The mixed drinks ($13-$14) were wonderful, as was the dumpling appetizers. Each entree was beautifully presented and deliciously prepared. This is definitely a repeater.

This place is awesome! The beers are great, service is great and an awesome menu. We had the cold seafood salad special and a fajita salad special. They were very good. Also has the hogs legs. Yummy! Saw lots of food come out – sliders, burgers, other apps and all the food looked great. I can’t wait to go back! I wish it was closer.

Beautiful outdoor patio, good food, great craft beer choices, service fair. We stumbled upon this place out in the middle of nowhere after visiting the winery down the road. The double-tiered patio area is spacious and beautiful. We sat by the fireplace and it was so cozy. It got a bit cool and the manager was more than happy to turn on the heater too. Had a flight of beer and was surprised by the amount of beer choices that were brewed right on the premises. Very good! Try the pumpkin one with the sugar rim! We tried some appetizers and some were good (Birria tacos) and others just ok. The service was a bit slow. Took awhile to get the check. Despite that, we enjoyed our time and will definitely return. Great place to hang out with friends for beer and appetizers!
