We quite suprised about the portions, they were huge.
The team were very friendly and Remon was great!
I personally don’t like the music I think it does not fit the atmosphere but that’s ok.
2 pax 2 drinks 2 hot starters 1 salad 1 main course around 4000 EGP, we cannot find these prices in İstanbul. (Yeah we came from Turkey)
Beautiful experience hope to come back!
From the welcoming to the hospitality to the amazing food
The CHATEAUBRIAND was outstanding with Mushroom Risotto
The waiter was helpful and polite ( Meena )
His greeting was weak, and it was obvious he was in a hurry to take the order and walk away without explaining anything or helping us choose. When we asked him for recommendations, he suggested extremely overpriced dishes, to the point that he recommended a dish for me that cost around 100 dollars. The issue wasn’t the price as much as the fact that it was a 600-gram meat dish… which is an unrealistic portion for one person. The same thing happened with my friend: he asked for a meat recommendation, and the waiter suggested something very expensive that wasn’t even meat.
More mistakes followed: we ordered 8 pieces of sushi, but they brought us 16 and charged us for them. I also received rice that was cold and stale, and when I pointed it out, the waiter tried to convince me it was “normal,” until we insisted on changing it.
After all this, the supervisor came over. He was very respectful, cheerful, and clearly understood what proper hospitality means. His attitude softened a lot of the negative experience.
Unfortunately, after the poor service, the waiter gave us a feedback card and directly asked us to write something positive about him, which felt very inappropriate.
The prices at the restaurant are reasonable, and the upper floor is clean and comfortable. The food itself was good. However, the bathrooms downstairs had a very unpleasant smell.
Overall:
The food and atmosphere were good, and the supervisor was excellent, but the waiter’s service was very poor.
Rating: two stars out of five.
Service was amazing Mina Habshi was brilliant
The grilled octopus was a highlight—super tender, bright, and citrus-forward with tons of flavor that really popped.
The sliced beef with the spicy miso base? Absolutely to die for—rich, bold, and perfectly balanced. Those two dishes alone made the meal memorable.
The pasta dishes, on the other hand, were okay—nothing special or memorable compared to the starters
We tried the tomato martini, which was delicious—refreshing, well-balanced, and a nice twist on a classic.
Wait staff Ramon seemed inconvenienced to help us.
They never fail to impress with their top notch food quality, service and hospitality. It is a must when visiting Cairo. I go there for an unforgettable dining experience. Unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures of the main course and dessert but everything was amazing. Mr. Alaa is as always welcoming, attentive, generous and hospitable.
