I hadn’t been to Granite City since I was a kid, so I decided to check it out again. I’m a big fan of buffalo mac & cheese and usually order it whenever I see it on a menu. The portion size was generous, which I appreciated, but the flavor didn’t quite meet my expectations. I liked the garnishes, but it wasn’t very spicy and seemed to lack overall seasoning.

The service at the bar was good. However, they were experiencing some kitchen and staffing issues, so several items weren’t available to order. That was a bit disappointing since I wasn’t able to get everything I wanted.

Overall, it was a nice experience, but it didn’t quite match what I remembered from when I was younger.

We recent had a birthday brunch experience at Granite city in Maple Grove. From the moment we walked in we were all welcome by their friendly staff, which already set the tone for that sophisticated dining feeling. The restaurants ambience felt cozy for family and kid, friendly atmosphere, including plenty of free parking. Guess had the option for the brunch buffet or ordering off their menu selections. Some of the kids had their signature bloody Mary, which was perfectly garnished with all the fancy fixings. I opted for their signature espresso martini, which was extremely strong for my taste, bud. Their brunch buffet included me to order omelette bar, and the usual classic fixings, waffles French toast, classic eggs, Benedict, bacon, sausage, roasted chicken and shrimp, cocktails, etc. All were fabulous amazing. Our grandkids had an absolute blast with the extra topping options at the bar, including fresh berries, whipped cream and sprinkles. It was a memorable celebration with Positive experience. I highly recommend granite city if you’re looking for a great brunch place that’s also family and kid friendly not many around these days.

First time eating there and I wasn’t disappointed. Our waitress was the best. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable. And my hamburger was cooked to perfection. It was huge, only could eat 1/2 of it but it was so good didn’t want to stop. The gumbo was spiced up without being too spicy hot.

My wife and I took our granddaughter out for a her Birthday lunch at Granite City which was a recommendation from a family member. Very good food and a nice atmosphere. My granddaughter really enjoyed her burger and fries. My wife enjoyed her cup of soup and a half sandwich, while I savored over the Chicken Alfredo.
Bill was our waiter/ host who was pleasant, accommodating, and provided excellent customer service.
Thanks Bill.
We will be back.

I’ve always wanted to try this restaurant, so I planned my mum’s 65th birthday dinner for a group of 12 at Granite City. Unfortunately, the experience was a letdown from the start.

The two check-in staff didn’t even say hello; I had to greet them first to check in for my reservation. Once we were shown to our table, our waitress was extremely unfriendly. When I mentioned we were there to celebrate a birthday, she didn’t acknowledge it at all. The energy immediately felt cold, and we began to regret our choice.

The starters took 20 minutes to arrive and were served cold. My lemonade even came in a visibly cracked glass. To make matters worse, the entrees were also served cold. We had to make the best of the situation because it was too late to find another venue for a party of our size.

I will not be returning to this restaurant. I spent $365 only to go home disappointed and unhappy with the service we received.

We just finished eating at Granite City Food & Brewery, and throughout our time there, a few things stood out that made this place somewhere I would eat again. Peter, who this time was our waiter, represented their customer service well, always coming back to see if we had questions and willing to make us his top priority. He was respectful, always smiling, and had a positive attitude that showed he wanted to be there. Other staff members came to check on us throughout our meal, and it was clear that their team loves working together to make both their and the customers’ time enjoyable. Again, I highly recommend eating here, and we will definitely be coming back with Peter as our waiter!

Dine in for dinner with my wife on a weekday at 8 pm. The restaurant wasn’t busy, so no wait to be seated. Spinach artichokes dip was salty. My wife’s pasta was a little salty. My blue peppercorn burger was good. The fries were salty. We ordered wings to go for my daughter. The total for all was $66. I just feel like they might be staffing the employees on the smaller side. The last few times we’ve been there, the wait for food was longer than I’d like. Our server was also the host. He was friendly and very accommodating. Overall, for the price, it was ok.

There’s a lot of potential here. Unfortunately, over the last few years, the quality and value of the food have completely dropped off the deep end. I recently ordered their turkey bacon sandwich, and the amount of protein on the sandwich is unbelievable. The tiniest little dollops of turkey, and one strip of bacon. And it’s nearly 20 dollars with fries. This is a 3-dollar sandwich at best. Unfortunately, unless something changes, I won’t be visiting again. Very disappointed.

I absolutely loved my experience here—the vibes were on point! It was a bit crowded, but our server Peter was truly amazing and made the whole experience so much better. He really listened to us and made us feel heard the entire time. Honestly, he’s one of the best servers I’ve ever had, and his energy made the night even more enjoyable. I definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed eating here. I had never heard of Granite City, yet it sent me a $15 gift card in the mail for my birthday. The food was exceptional. There are different deals for different week days, too. I went on a Thursday and ordered two appetizers for $6 each. The appetizers were way larger than expected, and they were delicious. I took some home for lunch the next day. I was not disappointed. The food was great. I ordered the smoked salmon, which came with asparagus and rice. There was a lot of flavor! The environment was cool, too. It seemed somewhat casual, but somewhat upscale. It was a great birthday present for sure.
