Delicious sandwiches. I had the hot salami and beef and the hot salami. For anyone wondering, the salami is not spicy and actually quite mild in flavor. Definitely worth trying.

AMAZING!!!!! We were looking online for a sandwich that caught our eye when we came across photos of Gioia’s. We dashed over, and that was one of the best decisions I have made in a long time. The crew was super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient when it came time to make a decision. Everything we tried was fantastic. I cannot recommend Gioias’s highly enough. As a matter of fact, it was so good we went back the next day.

Talk about a turkey sandwich! Toppings are plentiful, bread is soft, lots of flavor. Had this same sandwich 2 weeks ago and thought about it every day since, figured I better go back!

Amazing sandwich! Pretty expensive but worth the cost for something different than all of your chain sandwich shops. The service was phenomenal. I’ve never been and asked for some suggestions, the amazing lady behind the counter gave me several and we went with the trio because of her suggestion. The bread and cheese alone could have been an amazing meal. But the meats are high quality and delicious. Would highly recommend. Can get busy at all the times. Order ahead if you want

I ate there two days in a row. The first day I had the hot salami sandwich, hands-down, James Beard quality food.. Today I had the fish sandwich for Lent hands-down best fish sandwich ever. If you want gourmet in your face Italian sandwich this is a place to go.

There are no better hot sandwiches that I know. My wife swears Gioia’s salami sub is the best sandwich she’s ever eaten. The Creve Coeur location is simple, but clean, and staffed with folks that know what they’re doing. They recently started staying open early evenings, Wednesday through Saturday, and that means even more opportunities to enjoy.

Moving reviews over from Yelp. This location was brand new when written back in 2019:
Gioia’s deli is an institution in St Louis. So much so that after about a hundred years (not joking) they decided to expand. Pretty cool that they did!
The food is the same as the original place although the atmosphere is different. I love having them out in the county as a lunch alternative.

Tiny Italian deli with sandwiches that don’t mess around. The hot salami was crispy, spicy, and stacked just right, with bread that held up till the last bite. Very casual, very local, and always busy for a reason. You order, you eat, you’re instantly in a better mood.

Great place! Love Gioia’s for a quick sandwich. After becoming gluten free, I wish they would explore creating a GF bread. My salad was fine, but I miss the good bread! Staff was friendly and kind.
