We ate there during our first trip to Denver before moving here years ago. What a shame.

Wow, wow! Our server Phillip was excellent, everything came out perfect, we got new dishes between each course, and the food was excellent. It was actually fair priced for the quality of fish and presentation. One of my new favorite sushi restaurants in the Denver metro.

A fine dining experience that is on par with Izakaya Den! Despite it being prom night, we got seated at the chef table! Had such lovely conversations with the sushi makers! The shishito peppers were so good. We also had sautéed calamari with Korean red pepper sauce and was packed with flavor! I can’t remember what rolls we had but they were also delicious.

I have got to say this has been the best sushi I’ve had so far here in Denver. It is the freshest fish if tasted since I’ve moved from California. I will be coming here more often then I should. To be honest, I expected it to be a lot more pricier as well since I’ve been to other “fancier” sushi spots around cherry creek and university. It did not compare. To top it off, the sushi was much better here, it was mind blowing. I will be recommending/bringing people to this place from Cali moving forward.

We dined here on a Sunday evening, we were greeted and seated promptly (reservations were made).
The restaurant offers free parking but be aware rather cramped.
The restaurant’s simple and minimalist japanese decor offers a soothing and comfortable atmosphere.
Loved the fact that they installed mirrors alongside the wall for those patrons seating facing the wall a great way to keep them in touch with the ambiance.
The sushi menu is very complete, and indeed making this place a truly Sushi establishment, it has a sushi bar for those that would like to watch the experts preparing their dining selections.

The dishes are well prepared and well presented, but we felt was not a wow moment, we walked out feeling the total bill did not match the dining experience.

The only item ordered that we liked was the sushi plate.

The Bento Box, standard with the usual Japanese items; selected the shrimp and it was very good.
My biggest disappointment was the Chocolate Lava cake, it tasted as it came from the supermarket, from a box ( is not homemade).
This restaurant is pricey!!, and we feel not worth the $200 dollars dinner for two (the photos are ALL we ordered for $200, (including the gratuity imposed on you).
With so many choices for sushi in the Denver area, we will most likely not patronize this place again.

I believe this is probably one of the top 3 sushi places I’ve been to. But this has the best Japanese fried rice which really pushed the rating up. I find the edamame and sushi rolls we had to be adequate, fried rice to be one of the best I’ve ever had and dessert to be very delicious. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere is nice but sometimes a little too noisy depending on people sitting around you.

Located near downtown, the restaurant is easy to get to. Value proposition-wise, I thought the rolls we ordered were probably unjustifiable both in portion and flavour. They were decent, but I didn’t feel satisfied thinking that was well worth the experience. I got more value out of fried rice and edamame than anything. This is a must-try place if you’re a fan of Japanese food and sushi with somewhat high-end ingredients. I thought it was great overall.

Spontaneous visit for a quick lunch – it was very good!
Decor was nice and relaxing, the service was great, and the food was pretty tasty.
We tried two rolls (spicy tuna and zen salmon), they were good but didn’t have much flavor. We also ordered some fried rice, and the portion is absolutely enormous.

Lovely dining experience at Sushi Sasa! The fried rice was delicious and came in a sizable portion. The sushi rolls were good, but the nigiri pieces were the highlight – splurged for the wagyu and the fatty tuna. Great spot for a date night or a small group!

A wonderful sushi experience in LoHi Denver. I’ve taken the wife for a couple date night dinners & both times have been great!

We’ve had a few different rolls & while they aren’t our favorite, everything else has exceeded our expectations. The sashimi is absolutely incredible, especially the various Tuna & Yellowtail options are like butter – just melts in your mouth.

Highly recommend for a date night for anyone that loves a great sushi experience.

Sushi Sasa was spectacular! My partner and I visited on 4/20 (mmm) with a couple of out-of-town guests. The four of us opted for the tasting menu, and it was out of this world! Sarah was our server, and she was amazing! (Pro tip: If interested in the tasting menu, which I highly recommend, I would request it in advance when making your reservation, and make sure your whole party participates for the best experience). Check out the photos of all the deliciousness!!

Dear God, this place is amazing. Service is always on point. Love the white linen atmosphere. The toro and tuna sashimi dishes are perfectly prepared. I could fill up on just the nigiri section alone!

The fried rice the the literal best I’ve ever had. Good lord, the running egg there is so good. Grilled Artichoke, also bomb. Oyster with a runny Quail Egg, also fire. Love the snake river foie gras and mis ramen. Will be back!
