First time visiting here today. Glad we decided to check it out. Might be one of my new favorite spots. Service is friendly and considerate, food is cooked well, and delicious. In the photos is the Shrimp Quesadilla & Steak, Shrimp and Chicken Fajitas.

El Chapala III continues to serve delicious authentic fresh food. I am in love with their birria and could sincerely drink the consume. They have outdoor seating plenty of indoor seating. The restaurant is vibrantly decorated and just a fun place to go.

A delicious meal along with excellent service. We started our meal with the Papas Locas (with no pickled jalapenos). We got a very generous portion, and they tasted great. My wife ordered the Quesadilla Fajitas, and she love it, even though she could only finish half of the entree. I ordered the Pollo con Crema. Again, a very generous portion that tasted great. I liked the fact that you had a choice of corn or flour tortillas. I also took advantage of the free salsa bar to go along with my chips. GREAT time!

We had high hopes since all of the reviews were great. The service was good, friendly. There was barely any flavor to any of the dishes. We asked for spicier sauce and was given a green sauce that just tasted of hot raw onion with just a bit of char. The food was just all very bland. The beef on top of the Tamales would have been better suited as chili on a hotdog.

I have to say that this restaurant has become a favorite. From first stepping into the building the authenticity and great service is what you first notice. Next would be the waiters and staff. They are very nice and alway very accommodating to any need you might have! The food is also amazing! Never once have I had to send the food back, complain or feel like there wasn’t enough food on the plate.

One of the better Mexican restaurants in Asheville. Food is always good, the queso is so good I could drink it, and the staff is always pleasant. I go here about 3-5 times a month. Highly recommend.
