I would definitely get the Pizza again
I came here on a Thursday around 5:30 PM. The parking was scarce. It seems like a lot of people were eating outside and I expected it to be super busy inside. It wasn’t that busy. I took a seat at the bar area at the counter. I ordered a beer – I forget what I chose but it was a light beer and obviously wasn’t memorable. I tried to stick to a local beer. I browsed the menu and decided I would get the Spangler. Pretty much as plain as you get besides adding the basil on it. My plan was to order this pizza and eat it at the bar. Not sure if the bartender/server was confused or was in autopilot but when I got my pizza, it came in a box as in, for to go. Some other people sitting at the bar had pizza racks for their pizza. I thought I was eating there. I never specified ordering to go or anything as such. You would think, I’m sitting here, I ordered a beer, I’d like to eat my pizza here too right? I didn’t say anything and I took my pizza and left.
Anyways, the pizza, I was able to fold and eat this pizza. I like the burnt aspects on the crust. Smelled wonderful. It actually tasted good and one of the better pizzas I have had, compared to some places in NJ/NY. The sauce has a good amount of flavor. Usually sauce comes first and then the cheese for a NY style but this was fine.
If I visit again, I would get this same exact pizza. I recommend it if you’re in the area for one of the better pizzas.
We landed on the Brussels sprouts, antipasta, and crostinis—and honestly, each dish was just as good as the next. Thoughtfully prepared, well balanced, and a great way to kick things off.
For pizza, we went with a 14” half Spangler and half Hot Honey Bastard. The Spangler was light, flavorful, and perfectly executed with a crisp crust. The Hot Honey Bastard hit that sweet-and-savory balance beautifully—bold without being overwhelming.
Everything about the visit felt intentional, from the service to the food. We’ll absolutely be back.
It was a few weeks ago now, but I went in with my friend Kirk to eat.
We got the Whipped Ricotta Toast, it’s to die for! I told my friend I could literally eat like an entire baguette if they turned it into this stuff. Whipped ricotta cheese with pistachios, hot honey, and chili flakes on sesame bread? Delicious!
We also got the Lil’ Bastards which for starters? It’s crispy brussels sprouts with bacon marmalade and these little red “sweety drop peppers”. I’m obsessed with them, if I knew where to buy a jar I’d do it immediately and put them on like everything.
For the main course we did a half and half pizza, I forget what size. We did half Uncle Joe (mozz, tomatoes, red onion, herbs) and the other half Honey Bastard (mozz, soppressata, bacon marmalade, and habanero honey). It was awesome, easily the best pizza I’ve had in a long time.
Oh, to top it all off? They have Cherry Coke which is/was one of my favorite sodas of all time. I feel bad admitting this but I think I drank like five.
Stop in, the place is great– the food’s great, the atmosphere is great, and the staff is friendly.
