Can get busy so reservation is highly recommended. The food was good, though it will take awhile to serve. Sometimes the servers will forget your order and you have to remind them when you already waited for some time. Prices is ok, videotaping is not encouraged. You order at the counter.

Together with colleagues who were mostly first-timers, we made sure to go to Ochó because we heard good reviews about the place. We ordered a lot: liempo (plain and with marinade), halaan (in photo), garlic and butter scallops, cheesy scallops (in photo), kinilaw, grilled tanigue, crab, and ensaladang lato (in photo). Upon ordering, you have to choose from the fresh seafood at their counter. Everything was great! For a group of five and for eight dishes (including beer and a platter of rice), we only paid ~Php 3,500! It’s really affordable and sulit.

It’s a confusing experience if you’ve never been there before. They let you in and point to the back of the store. You get there and seafood of many varieties are chilling waiting for you to choose. They sell by weight. So you choose what you want squid, fish, seaweed, shelled animals, quite a few things. Then you tell them how you want it cooked.
You then get a number and choose a table(or you’re seated if they are full). The food is well cooked And I have no complaints on that. The customer service is very lacking so just go for seafood if that’s your love but not for service. Also the place is clean.

Amazing food, especially the seafood — you know it’s fresh. They also have local varieties of dishes if you want to have a more regional experience.
The food is also priced well.

Very good seafood restaurant in Tacloban. Liked the pompano fish very much. Very nice desserts also. Recommended!

Tried the Shell Soup, Calamares, Sinuglaw na Tangigue, Grilled Pork Belly, and a veggie dish with kangkong in coconut milk (forgot the name!). Food was okay for the price, not mind-blowing but fresh and satisfying. The place is clean and the service is superb. Great spot for big groups since it’s dampa-style with lots of options to choose from.

You can never go wrong with Ocho. Top tier restaurant not just in Visayas but in total PH. Better than some of the restaurants that got awarded Bib Gourmands. Everything is fresh, service is exceptional. Parking is ok, but could be better. Value for money is also there

The restaurant was suggested to us by Kuya Joedy of Joedy’s Pasalubong Center… We came here and the place was jampacked, we thought they don’t have available seats for us. But they have the second floor open for walk-in customers. The ground floor was primarily for reservations. The second floor also has function rooms. The place was clean and wide.
They have a wide array of seafoods to choose from from fish, to bivalves, to crustaceans, and squids. By the way, the restaurant is a paluto style where you choose your protein or vegetables and choose what kind of recipe you want for that. We chose scallops to be grilled with garlic, fish for sinigang, squid to be stuffed and grilled, and my favorite shrimp for buttered shrimp.
Everything was delicious, especially my buttered shrimp. You know it was fresh because it still has a hint of sweetness beyond the flavorful shrimp. Not too salty as well. The squid was cooked to perfection, not too rubbery.
Their CR was clean too. Good thing we followed kuya Joedy’s recommendation.
