Ordered the enchilada plate with cheese so it should come with three. I don’t know why I got two. I really love this place, foods great but today was just a bad experience. My
to-go plate looked like it was used a couple of times and they just reused it again. The bag that had condiments was wet and torn. I just don’t understand how someone can bag that up and hand it to somebody, well this is the reason a review like this is going to happen. Didn’t call to get my one enchilada cause I didn’t get a receipt and what’s the point, I didn’t have that much time since I was on lunch break. I know what you look out for next time I go through the drive-through but come on guys I always talk highly about y’all, And still will.
The chicken was NOT from the can. It was the real deal. The refried beans and rice were also filled with flavor. I was not disappointed in the slightest.
The waitress was very attentive and gave refills without having to be asked. I appreciate good service.
The salsa has a kick that went well with my food. I left full and surprised at how good this restaurant was. If you like mole, I highly recommend trying this mole.
We (my son and I) ordered the following:
Huevos rancheros plate with guisada and added cheese
Large sweet tea
Large coffee
Large horchata
4 bean/cheese tacos
1 potato/chorizo taco
1 chorizo/egg taco
Totaling $35.00 before tip
Overall, the food was pretty good and we’ll be back!
I opted for the lunch chicken fajitas, and unfortunately, the chicken was quite dry. My friend’s huevos rancheros with carne guisada also missed the mark; the carne guisada, which should be wonderfully tender, was surprisingly tough.
The true highlights of our meal were the fresh tortillas and the sweet tea. The atmosphere of the restaurant is great, providing a pleasant backdrop for a meal. However, for those seeking a truly authentic and well-executed Mexican food experience, you might want to explore other options. I’ll come one more time to try to order something different, the fideo loco seems to have a large appeal!
