It’s like I stepped into a portal and was transported to a 1960’s southern cookhouse. The restaurant gave a very homie vibe that makes you want to invite your family and friends. If I closed my eyes while eating I would’ve thought I was at my family reunion with the perfectly cooked chicken and hush puppies. The staff was down to earth and professional. I loved everything about this place. If I’m ever back in Spokane I’ll definitely be here for lunch.

The rumors are true. Not gonna lie, though the reviews at first had to be bluffing about some of the best southern food being in Spokane but I am a believer now. Came in town for work and will be back before I go. Excellent ribs, red beans and rice, really good greens (which I think is hard to find in a restaurant) and the chicken was crispy and nice. I’m walking for the street smiling and licking my lips lol plus they’re really friendly too!

We are visiting from Wyoming and our Airbnb recommended Chicken-N-Mo. So glad we tried it out! It was the best fried chicken and brisket sandwich our family has ever had. Great service and everyone, including the locals, were all so friendly!

Oh. My. Stars. This place is the real deal! I had the brisket sandwich and my husband had the chicken and rib combo with two sides, collard greens and macaroni salad. The meats are smoked to perfection and the sauce has a slight bit of heat. If you like collards greens they are not to be missed here! Three generations work here and the owner Bob is regionally famous. So authentic.

The chicken and JoJo’s were the star of the day for me. I would go back for those hands down. The jumbo was delicious but I felt like the green beans would use more seasoning and the mashed potatoes would be better with a brown gravy.

Wonderful family restaurant though.

First and foremost, being a Texan, their BBQ rib dinner is bussin and it’s probably my #1 favorite spot out in Spokane. Please try the catfish and the hot link dinner along with the sides. A1!!!!

I had 2 PC dark meat chicken. Best fried chicken I have had since leaving Texas. My sides were mashed potatoes and gravy, collard greens and red beans and rice. Collars had a nice smokey flavor. Red beans and rice were awesome as were the mashed potatoes and gravy. I only gave it a 4 because the sides were small

Sweet lil hole in the wall! Simple southern food served up like you would expect. We loved our fried chicken, coleslaw and red beans and rice, 2 of us for $11 each, $22 total (I’m not sure what the negative review people are talking about) We will always make a stop at Chkn n More! Super nice staff too!

This is a gem in Spokane., family owned and operated for now three generations. And I even got to see Mo relaxing out front a bit last visit. Ribs, chicken and catfish, by the piece or as part of a dinner. Great soulful sides and a dessert or two. Don’t miss Chicken n Mo!

Straight out of the fryer chicken. Cooked properly. Critiques: brining the chicken in a salt bath would add juicyness and flavor. Barring that, just adding salt to the dredge would help. The staff were personable and friendly. The owner was there and just a good dude to talk to. The sides were good. Greens tasty, BBQ beans tasty, and the standout was the red beans and rice. That side alone made the trip worthwhile. It is a hole in the wall restaurant in old town. So sketchy people were here and there. But the southern fried chicken joint vibe was priceless. Worth a look.
