I have a love hate relationship with this Pollo location. I’ve worked for PT myself in the past. I truly believe this location needs better management. I go often and I can see the turnover rate is EXTREMELY high. There are always more than enough employees, but there is no cohesiveness and teamwork. This often leads to incorrect orders. The food itself is a hit or miss. Some days it’s excellent, some days it’s not good at all. My biggest issue is when I order a whole chicken and an additional half, the whole chicken is all dark meat. I understand that white meat is more expensive, however it’s a whole chicken which obviously comes with 4 pieces of dark meat and 4 pieces of white meat. I wish the employees would ask and not assume I don’t know the difference. Other than that, it’s still one of my favorite locations.

1/4 chicken dark with rice, beans, yucca ans cheesy yucca! Yummy! The chicken here is moist. The service staff was friendly. Lots of chairs and seating space. Highly recommend!

Good customer service. food was tasty and I didn’t have to wait long to get served. I love the location I visited off university and Broward. I love the garlic sauce it’s my favorite for me I consider polo Tropical to be a good place to eat not too expensive. and they don’t served you all that greasy food that you would most time find at most fast food locations I love the Cesar Salad. Place is clean so next time you’re in the neighborhood drop on by and experience it.

Every time I order here, I say it will be the last time because they never get orders right. I was starving and this was otw home so against better judgement I gave another chance.
The order: yellow rice tropichop with chicken, green peppers, and onions. No beans. Diet coke.
The result: white rice, more beans than I have ever seen in my life (had to wonder if they were trolling at this point), green peppers, and onions. The diet coke was so full of ice there was barely any beverage.
I don’t like beans and can’t turn around – so I am out money and will continue my day hungry.
Not sure if it’s just this location or the chains in general, but spending $11 for food not edible sucks. This is the third time in a row I got the wrong order. The other two times I was able to turnaround.

I had one issue at this location a while back and since reporting it to their corporate office, things have never been better. Staff here have improved massively and is the main reason why I am going there more often. Thanks to the staff there for making my time more enjoyable!

100% agree with the reviews insisting new management! Got to the door and they were locked on both sides. They were already supposed to be open by that time. Multiple employees inside saw me and my two family members and proceeded to walk to the back to avoid interacting with us.
I tried calling the store and got the call center, who also could not get in contact with the store after 3 attempts. 10:40a another lady came up and the door was still locked. A dark-skinned, heavy set, tall man came to the door on the phone (not with customer service) and finally unlocked it.
My grandmother asked what happened and why no one that saw us at the door couldn’t just tell us they had to delay opening – regardless of the fact they should’ve been open by then.
The manager proceeded to lie, saying we were there before it was time to open and NONE of the workers spoke English but him…
Removing him would be best for business. Everyone involved was very unprofessional and unkind.

I had a very disappointing experience at this location. I used the drive thru and my total was $11.50. I handed the cashier $20 and told her I had the change, but the cashier named Shanese ignored me, closed the drawer, and handed me back coins. When I repeated that I had the change, she rolled her eyes and gave me attitude. At that point I decided I wasn’t going to tolerate being treated that way, so I asked to return the food and get a refund. I was told to come inside, but I explained I couldn’t because I had my kids in the car and that is the reason I used the drive thru in the first place. She rolled her eyes again. The manager, Anastasia, was standing there and witnessed the entire interaction but never stepped in or spoke to me. Shanese was also the one who finally called the manager over. Instead of addressing the situation or apologizing, the manager showed even more attitude, closed the window, and handed me my refund without saying a word. When I asked for her name, she questioned why I needed it, even though I explained I was making a complaint about how I was being treated. Again there was no apology or attempt to resolve the situation professionally. This was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful and I will not be returning to this location. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here unless you want to be treated with disrespect.

I went in today at this location around 4pm and I will say Travis has given me the upmost professional service ever. Respectable, knowledgeable and he has a great sense of humor. He knows how to talk to his team and everyone there seems to like being at work! I’ve went into other locations and have never had this great of service before.
I will always come back to this location due to the service.

The beans were old and moldy tasting. I went and night and couldn’t eat it. Put the left overs in the fridge and they were covered in it the next morning. I was sick for 2 days. I’ve been going to Pollo aa long as I can remember and I’ve never had anything like this happen. Do not recommend this one out of all in the state
