Caveman’s Kitchen was… very hit or miss.

I’ll start with the good: the salmon dip was amazing. Genuinely the best thing we ordered and the only reason this isn’t a 1-star review.

Now the bad. My boyfriend ordered the rib dinner, which was $30, and it came with three bones. Three. For thirty dollars. On top of that, there was basically no flavor. They poured some watery barbecue sauce over it, but it didn’t help at all. The ribs themselves were just bland and disappointing.

The rib dinner also came with bread and two small sides both sides were average at best, nothing memorable. We also ordered an extra French bread on the side, which was fine, but nothing special.

Altogether, it was around $60 for the meal, and for that price it was absolutely not worth it. If you’re coming here, maybe just get the salmon dip — but for full meals, especially the ribs, save your money

Always wanted to try this place because it smells so good driving by, and finally stopped to try it. Unfortunately the smell fooled me and my daughter. When we walked in, the woman at the register didn’t say hi or anything to be friendly, just “what can I get you?”
We ordered the pulled pork sandwiches and I asked if it came with any sides or if they had cornbread. She just said no. So I paid extra for a small side of coleslaw. We swished into a small table in the corner (1 of 2 tables) and waited for our food. When we opened our sandwich it was on a little French roll and the sauce looked more on the red side, opened the sandwich to see SLICED meat and not much of it. My daughter and I just looked at each other like “what the heck is this???” I told her well, let’s just try it and hope it tastes better than it looks…..It didn’t!!! It literally tasted like sliced deli meat with ketchup on it!!! I don’t know how a BBQ place could think this is a pulled pork sandwich?? This place was a COMPLETE waste of money!!! Don’t be fooled by the smell!!!

My husband and I traveled to the Seattle area on vacation and we love to eat at home-owned restaurants and support families and local economy. This place was absolutely A+ from the food, service, hospitality and friendliness. We sampled the menu and everything was on point: beef sandwich, chicken and chicken sandwich, sausage, baked beans, potato salad and bootleg pudding. We definitely recommend eating here!

Cant beat caveman. Literally the best at what they do. My favorite is the french dip named the beefasaurus dip. Hall of fame worthy roasted pig, and God tier thanskgiving turkeys. They got everything for everyone. If you want meats you come here

The smoke flavor was pretty good. Portions could have had more meat for a full sandwich that’s nearly 20 dollars. Bread was good quality, and that helps these sandwiches stand on their own. Won’t stop me from coming back to try more of the other sandwiches.

This place has been an icon for BBQ for years and years. I remember coming here as a kid with my parents and grabbing a sandwich. Now when I have it the taste is still just as good but it’s also nostalgic.
Thanks Caveman! And thank you Tim for being such a hard working guy. I can tell your heart is in it!

This place is very nice and friendly. It really feels like home cooking especially they way they talk to you. The food is amazing and is perfect if you want to go on a picnic and have food with you. I highly recommend their French dip and their baked beans. It’s no wonder this place has been around as it has. Their bbq sause is amazing too. My only complaint if their chairs are really uncomfortable for me but other than that I really enjoy it there. Would definitely recommend.

Tim answered my call on thanksgiving day when the restaurant was closed. He heard my desperation trying to find a turkey to bring to my new father in laws house. I wanted to make a good impression and the turkey Tim provided was so amazing and the cranberry sauce was the best I’ve ever had. Everyone kept saying how good it was and Tim’s generosity was something you don’t see very often these days. What a great person and what a delicious bird. Thank you!

I would ALMOST do 5 star on the food it is soo very good!! ….atleast it can be. Half the times it is one of the best meals you can buy. Other times its bland and forgettable but you can’t forget because you paid ALOT $$$.
The dragon wheels are particularly prone to this.
