First time I’ve been to ritters since they opened years ago. Not by lack of trying, just so busy at times I couldn’t get a seat. Today we are lucky enough to have a late lunch. We ordered a few items on the menu. As you can see, by the pictures. Atmosphere was amazing. Customer service was great. The food was delicious.I wasn’t blown away by any means but it was solid!!! I very much like to come back. And try a few other things I’ve seen on the menu.
Come check it out and please post some images and things that I should try that are must haves!!!

My beautiful wife and I really enjoyed this restaurant so we ended up inviting my whole family! We all loved the food and we had a great waitress “Nikki” she was awesome I shared the Smokestack Burger and fries with my super hot wife! We enjoyed everything with a side of fig sauce and ended it with a Lava cake! Dad had the same as us “Smokestack Burger. My brother had the Ribeye that he enjoyed. My mom had the pizza and she said it was good but it needed more meat. If your in salem this woukd be a great place to try. Thank you Ritters

We had a pepperoni pizza and chicken strips. The chicken was quality, like a chicken beasts. The pizza was good, a bit burned, but I think that’s the wood-fired stove.
We had a Madras and an Old Fashioned (with a slice of delicious bacon).
The place was fun & crowded on a Friday night. We moved from a 2-top table to eat at the bar.

I’ve been here before and it was 5 stars. This time was very disappointing. The $20 chicken sandwich had at most a tablespoon of coleslaw and very small chicken breast. Previously it was loaded with coleslaw and the chicken was bigger than the bun, which isn’t hard to do since the buns are smaller than avg.
Last time they had shoestring fries that were amazing. When ordering (at the counter, as there is no table service), he asked if I wanted sweet potato or rosemary fries. I said I wanted whatever was the shoestring fries. He said that those were rosemary. When they arrived, they were Not shoestring fries. I would have ordered sweet potato if I had known they changed their fries. What was suuuper annoying was them charging $1.15 for ONE oz of ranch!!! Service was mediocre. We ordered 2 sandwiches and an iced tea and it was $50!!!
The food was still good (small portions), which is why it isnt a 1 star review. However, we will not be spending our time or money here again.

The front person is the first impression. To see the person who is taking my order sipping on an iced coffee drink in front of me seemed unprofessional. Then the tone received felt like I was interrupting her day. If eye rolls could speak, hers are very loud. The food was fabulous. The drinks and delivery of meals was efficient. The rest of the staff was personable. Getting boxes to go was arduous. Could improve accessibility. Coaching on approachability would benefit the front employee. I won’t post her photo.

Dined in with my smoking hot totally real girlfriend for dinner and had a nice time. The menu had lots of goodies on it. We tried the pork belly, fries, crab salad, and cauliflower crust pizza. Everything was super yummy. But the pork belly and pizza stood out to me. Everyone was nice. They were super busy but still got us in. Would recommend you come and check them out.

Ritter’s used to be THE best restaurant and bar in Salem and the surrounding cities… Now it is a shadow of its former self. Over the last few years, every visit has had some majorly disappointing aspect. You’re either going to get extremely long wait times for seating, a server, or your food. The food quality is also a gamble. It can be stone cold, doesn’t arrive, wrong or disgusting. Every visit has had one of the aforementioned issues. I used to regularly visit the bar or get lunch/dinner with family and friends. I loved showing off the place to people who’ve never been… But I cannot recommend whatever they’ve become anymore. Ritter’s, fix yourself.

Great vibes and even better food at Ritter’s Housemade Foods! My friend and I shared the Carne Asada pizza — honestly, chef’s kiss. The steak with green chili peppers, cilantro, red onion, pesto and mozzarella was an insanely fun flavor combo that somehow just works.
We also tried the Prosciutto, Pear & Arugula pizza on the fig jam base, and wow… that sweet-savory vibe stuck with me all day.
And let’s talk about those Brussels sprouts — they’re roasted and served with a bacon and smoked-paprika aioli that’s almost worth the drive alone.
Service was friendly, atmosphere was welcoming, and every bite was top-notch. Perfect for pizza night with a twist!

I sat at the bar and had a drink and ordered the salmon.
The drink i got was really good, it was a lemony tom collins. I was also watching the bartenders work and they were doing some really cool and creative drinks, so certainly would recommend the cocktails here.
I also got an order of salmon which was incredible. It was really well cooked and the vegetables that went along side it were also delicious. It has the right amount of sweetness that I like with salmon without overpowering it.
Also, it seemed a the servers were having fun, which is nice to see.
