The grilled platter was excellent — juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The batata harra was crispy, spicy, and full of flavor. Authentic Lebanese taste done right.
The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. A perfect place for a delicious and comforting Lebanese meal!
Definitely worth coming back!
The Taj Lebanese Cuisine restaurant was a delight to enter for the first time. Initially, the place was quiet today and after an hour, there was company. I found the Arabic Black tea, the tabbouleh salad, the full (cooked fava beans) with olive oil, and the yellow Lebanese rice with garlic.
Happy Independence Day to Lebanon!
This has been my favorite Baterson restaurant for the past 4 years, I prefer it over Abu Rass and Darna (even Al Basha but only as a personal preference) because Taj CONSISTENTLY cooks and seasons all their food perfectly (their shish is ALWAYS tender-you can literally bite the lahma in half, their food is never dry and salty/bland(this is a Darna thing), and a bonus is that they have lamb chops in their family platter.
We always get the lahma w hummus and the medium family platter ($75*) for 2-3.5 people (0.5 for a kid).
It is disappointing that lots of people come here more for hookah than the food, so if you don’t smoke or like hookah smoke, it’s STILL okay to eat here because there’s A LOT of open indoor/outdoor seating to choose from. I hate hookah smoke but I’ve only had an issue once when they were super busy and had no choice but to sit between some hookah tables.
Their server, Nozha, is literally the best, she’s super sweet and understanding.
I hope I come back here soon.
What truly sets Taj apart is the exceptional service. A big thank you to Carlos and the entire team for making us feel so special. Their warm hospitality and attention to detail made our visit memorable. Highly recommend Taj for anyone looking for great food and an inviting atmosphere!
Ambience is so beautifully done, royal setting. They have a huge place. Hukkah was so good. Total vibes were so positive . Wonderful experience, I have to go again!
On top of the amazing food, the hookah here is one of the best I’ve had — smooth, well-prepared, and perfect to enjoy while relaxing with friends. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and makes you feel right at home.
If you’re looking for a spot with delicious Lebanese food, great vibes, and top-quality hookah, Taj Lebanese Cuisine is the place to be. Highly recommended!
Unfortunately, my experience today was very disappointing. I ordered mixed grills along with several appetizers. I started with the baba ghanoush, muhammara, and hummus with tahini, and I was shocked by the taste of the olive oil drizzled on top. The olive oil tasted extremely bad — honestly very, very poor quality — to the point that it caused me stomach pain shortly after eating it. In addition, the overall quality of the food has clearly declined compared to previous years.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend visiting this restaurant again. It feels as though the owner may have started cutting costs by purchasing low-quality ingredients, especially oils, which has had a serious negative impact on the food.
That said, I would like to be fair and mention that the lady supervising the dining area handled the situation professionally and respectfully. She kindly offered us complimentary desserts and provided excellent service. She was polite, attentive, and did her best to address the issue. The problem was not the service at all, but strictly the food quality and the type of oil being used.
I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves the quality, as this restaurant used to be one of my favorites.
I would like to briefly respond to the owner’s comment.”
I would like to clarify a few additional points to ensure accuracy and avoid any misunderstanding. During the second attempt to serve the appetizers, I did not consume them, as I could clearly see that oil was still present on the dishes. The staff member who brought them tried to reassure me that they did not contain oil; however, I pointed out the visible oil, and after tasting it himself, he acknowledged that the oil was present and stated that its taste was acceptable.
Regarding the mixed grill, which my friend and I did finish, the taste of oil was not as noticeable, likely because the items were grilled rather than served with raw oil added on top. For this reason, the issue was more apparent in the cold appetizers than in the grilled dishes. Thank you for pointing this out, as it is a fair observation.
I would also like to emphasize that my intention was never to cause harm or offense. The purpose of my comment was simply to bring attention to what I perceived as an issue during that visit, in the hope that it could be avoided in the future if necessary.
My feedback reflects my experience on that specific day only and was shared in good faith. I respect your position and appreciate the opportunity to clarify my remarks.
I was charged tip of $9.36. Still can’t figure out the percentage. Not to mention that tips included was not listed anywhere on the menu.
I typically tip 15% percent. I don’t think this service deserves any tips. Since the tips are applied automatically they waiters just don’t care.
Also, I was told the hookah was $25 when I asked the priced. However my bill was $30. I guess automatic 5$ hidden tip.
I also noticed there are tons on 1 -2 stars review and the staff/owners are very hostile with their reply. I am hope they don’t do that for this review.
Instead they should train the waiters to be polite and provide basic services.
I am giving 2 star because the food was average.
