Visiting the Essex diner is one of my favorite things to do when I’m back in Maryland. My husband and I have been visiting the diner for years to get lunch when we are in town. The food is really good, the service is great, and everything is well priced and portioned. Yesterday we shared a corn beef sandwich and shrimp salad sandwich. We also got fries and gravy which was delicious, the gravy was so flavorful. If you are in the area and thinking about eating the diner stop reading my review and go get you some food!!!

Stopped by for breakfast while visiting and it was outstanding. The food was exceptional across the board, especially the corned beef hash. My server, Ashley, was fantastic. Super attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. She even brought me a sample of the corned beef hash before I ordered. Smart move, because it was delicious and absolutely the right call. Great service, great food, its homie made me feel like a little boy and a place I’ll definitely be back to on my next visit.

I got the Essex Special and it was not only delicious but you get a lot. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon, home fries, and toast. It was definitely filling. My son got the meat lovers omelette and that too was a healthy portion. Nice and quiet place and great service. Price was very reasonable for what you get.

First visit and it was ok. The waitress was super nice and very attentive. The chili was way too salty and had an interesting flavor. Didn’t care for it. The waffle was huge and delicious. The meat lovers omlette was pretty good but needed a little seasoning. Home fries had too much salt. Chopped steak was good bit had a slightly burnt flavor. Gravy was yummy. Sweet potato was awesome. Prices are super fair. Overall it was a decent meal.

I came for my first time and everyone working was so welcoming and helpful. The waitress was helpful and very attentive to our needs. The food was cooked perfectly seasoned well and brought out in a more then timely manner. The owner was there and very interactive with the customers. Great place and atmosphere for date night family events or just a quick bite for breakfast or lunch.. definitely recommend

Tonight was our first time here. Food was great. There was a lot to choose from, but my husband and I went with burger & panini. Good choice, we enjoyed it. Alexa, our server, was sweet, friendly and provided great service. We will definitely return.
