Reviews
My niece had grilled chicken breast (I forget the name) which was huge, moist and tender. I tasted it and it was delicious although it lacked seasoning.
Others in our party commented on the black beans and the rice starting they were good.
Service was excellent and prices were reasonable. The restaurant appeared to be clean.
Overall we decided the food was good but we would probably not choose it again during our limited stay in Key West.
Parking was tight but there was enough spaces to park.
I would say give it a try, especially if you like Cuban food.
We are here in Key West for vacation, and El Siboney Restaurant has been one of the absolute highlights of our trip.
They have two locations, and we’ve been here three times already, and each visit amazes us more than the last. The food is consistently fresh, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. From the tender, well-seasoned meats to the delicious sides like rice, yuca, and plantains — everything tastes authentic and homemade.
What really impressed us is the consistency. No matter how busy they are, the quality never drops. Portions are generous, prices are very fair, and you always leave satisfied.
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is friendly and efficient. It’s the kind of place you crave again the moment you leave.
If you’re visiting Key West, this place is a must. We don’t just recommend it — we keep coming back. Truly outstanding Cuban food! ️✨
This location is on Stock Island, not the one Downtown Key West!
First, we waited nearly an hour for our food to be served, with little to no explanation or apology.
More concerning, I felt severe stomach discomfort and nausea immediately after eating the salad, and ended up vomiting shortly after the meal in their restaurant. The reaction was immediate, not hours later.
When we reported this to the manager, the response was extremely unprofessional and dismissive. The manager insisted that food poisoning symptoms only appear 24–48 hours later, claimed their food was “fresh,” and repeatedly suggested that my vomiting must have been caused by something else I ate. There was no willingness to take responsibility or even acknowledge the possibility that the issue could be related to their food.
Throughout the interaction, there was a complete lack of empathy or concern. In the end, the only resolution offered was waiving the 18% gratuity, which felt wholly inadequate given the situation.
I would not recommend this restaurant based on both the food safety concern and the way the situation was handled.
