Opened in 1994 and seems like it hasn’t changed anything since. Service and staff are amazing, very attentive. Food is ok. My Red Snapper was dry as a bone and I only ate about a 3rd of it. Blooming onion was good, but a little undercooked. My wife said her steak was good, but shrimp were overcooked. Salad was good and they hand you a check list to mark off what you don’t want in it and circle what dressing you want. Serve everything on little oval diner plates. All condiments come in single serving packets. We went on a Saturday night around 830 and wasn’t busy at all. Wants to be fine dining, but comes across more as a diner. With a 20% tip was $104 for 2 entrées, 1 app, unsweet tea and Diet Coke. They do not serve alcohol. A bit pricey for what you get IMO.

Jimmy’s Steak & Seafood is a charming little ma-and-pa style café right in the heart of a small town—it has that familiar, welcoming atmosphere you want from a local spot. The servers are friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home from the moment you sit down.

The food is good overall, though prices feel a bit on the higher side for what you get. The mushroom appetizer ($7) is a standout—fresh, hand-battered, and delicious, though the portion is pretty small, just a handful on a large plate. The small salad ($7.50) comes with plenty of toppings and tastes fresh, but artificial bacon bits and packaged dressing take away from an otherwise great start. There is no longer a salad bar (removed since COVID), so older reviews and photos online can be a little misleading.

The steak is cooked well and flavorful—$33 for a 16 oz meal feels fair for the quality, but still something to note if you’re budgeting. Drinks run around $3. Sweet tea is made daily, though by dinner time it’s not as fresh as it could be.

Overall, it’s a cozy, hometown restaurant with good food and great service—just expect slightly higher prices and a few modern shortcuts that take away from the fully “homemade” feel. Still, worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving a hearty meal with small-town charm.

Jimmy’s has a relaxed atmosphere but don’t let that fool you when it comes to the quality of the food or service. We enjoyed scallops, shrimp, clam strips, popcorn shrimp, fried green tomatoes, fried mushrooms, and a sirloin. Everything was fresh and tasty. The portions were decent and so are the prices! The service is efficient and friendly. Thanks!! Will definitely be back.

This was my dad’s and my first time at Jimmy’s Steak and Seafood. The Flounder and Flounder Sandwich was good. As for the steak I couldn’t tell you because I didn’t get a steak. Hopefully, we’ll be going back one day in the near future and I’ll be able to get a steak then I’ll be able to give a review of the steak. The hush puppies were cooked a little bit too much and didn’t have enough onion in them. The service was great and so was the atmosphere.

Seems like a place that was opened 30 years ago and then never updated or improved. Filet Mignon was fairly good but presentation was lacking. Which would be fine if they didn’t charge just as much as anyone else. Again not bad. Just nit special either.

We have always loved Jimmy’s. However, we went this afternoon around 3:45 pm and it was a different story!! There were only two people in there eating when we arrived. We ordered one $7 appetizer for the two of us and it was good and hot. We placed our order then a few more people started coming in and the party of five that was sitting behind us came in, they laced their drink order. Then their waitress brought their drinks. They ordered their food and got served 10 minutes! While we were still waiting on our food!! I flagged our waitress down and asked her about when our meal was coming out and she said shortly. We waited about 3-4 more minutes and she finally brought it out. My potato had obviously sat for so long that the cheese on top had melted and hardened into a solid piece of cheese. My steak was room temp
As well as my piece of fish. Our entire meal had obviously sat for so long that everything was barely warm, if that!! I complained to our waitress and she did bring me a fresh potato. And she said she would tell the manager what happened. Because the manager did not even come to our table to see about us or offer any compensation!!
Our bill for two people was $107.00!, for a, much less, than a mediocre meal, which I thought was super expensive. They do not serve thick ribeye steaks. They are maybe 1/2″ thick!! But they are usually hot and good. Today it was not!! Both meals were almost cold!!

Go early, early if you don’t want to wait. It will be packed on Friday and Saturday evenings for sure. I guess that’s a testament to the food. Food (especially the fried shrimp) is great. Service is good. Prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is okay. I do recommend.

A hidden gem! Very reminiscent to me of Ryan’s, if you’re of a certain age to remember that establishment. We had a slight wait (Saturday night at 730pm) but less than 30 minutes. We were greeted at the door and shown our table. I have to say, everyone was so friendly and nice! The menu has plenty to choose from: a varied appetizer selection, several salads that can have proteins added, pasta, comfort meals, steaks and seafood. We started with a blooming onion. I had the ribeye and husband had the filet and flounder. We both agreed that the steak was delicious and well-cooked but the fish was not that great. Our server, Erin, was excellent and very attentive. We are already planning to come back to try the catfish.

Local place. I was expecting gourmet. I bought the ribeye and was a little surprised when it came out it was a bit thin it was just ok. It was too pricey for the steak.

I will tell you this… the chicken Alfredo was a hit with the kids. Shared some grilled pork chop and was pleasantly surprised it was better than all the other and cheaper than the kids meal.

I would gladly return and order the grilled pork chops.
