As soon as we walked in the hostess was very quick to greet us. She was very polite in checking that my dog “Lulu” was indeed a service animal. I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name as I was taking in the atmosphere. She was great at explaining how the HOT POT works. We were then immediately seated and greeted by our server.
Our server Steven was AMAZING. Steven also made sure that Lulu was a service animal. He then walked us through making our HOT POT, Korean Bbq and buffet. Our drinks immediately came out he even brought Lulu her own sweet tea in a to-go cup The cups were never empty the whole meal. I let my husband go up to the buffet first as we do not take Lulu around other peoples food to be respectful. When my husband came back I went to the buffet and before I could get back to the table Steven already had our food on the table and meat was already cooking. The whole meal was beyond excellent. The manager even checked up on us and made sure not only was my husband and I taken care of but that Lulu was as well.
We will definitely be driving the 1 1/2 hours to come back.
Sorry, it is a nice place, but not worth the money.

If you are next to Aldi, then no, I have the correct restaurant.
Your company has a advertisement for Sam’s club and Costco, that states, “purchase (2) $50 gift cards for $74.99. This should be easy.. BUT, it’s not. None of your servers seem to know anything about it, Adrie definitely didn’t know anything about it. So…I’m not going to pay twice. Meaning pay for the gift cards specifically purchased to enjoy the meal and also pay again because you’re employees at this point are now stating…”the cards can only be used at Steak and Sushi and not at Korean BBQ. This can’t be happening . Adrie now recommends we get a refund from Sam’s but if anyone who is familiar with Sam’s club policy, there is no refund on gift cards. Lovely, she knows their policy but is absolutely no help with Volcano KOREAN BBQ policy. Now over 1.5 hours later, after speaking with Nicoh, the manager at Steak and Sushi, who I must give 5 stars to, understood the assignment. He knew why there was an issue with purchasing the gift cards in Hiram’s Sam’s club and gave a solution to our problem with a smile, unlike at Korean BBQ. There is no way, I would have known Hiram Sam’s doesn’t carry the advertised special. Your company needs to give better communication regarding this.
I do appreciate Nicoh’s help, it lightened a very frustrating experience. Please take time to educate all of your employees regarding your featured specials so no one else has to go through what we did. And a BIG THANKS Nicoh(I hope this is the correct spelling of his name.
Thankfully we’re familiar with KBBQ, because our server didn’t ask us if we’ve ever been here before, or if we know how to cook the meats, or anything. She turned the grill on max heat and left us to fend for ourselves basically. There was also not any info on how long to cook which meats, etc like other places have so I’d feel really bad for people new to KBBQ eating here.
The side dish buffet was alright, lots of fried foods and the japchae was served cold for some reason. I didn’t see any KBBQ sauces like Ssamjang, sesame oil- just hotpot sauces and hibachi sauces from next door. Meat quality was decent, filet mignon was the best tasting of the meats on the menu. I did like the ice cream cooler and chinese donut dessert options.
Overall though, definitely not worth the price. It was about $170 for a family of 4 for dinner pre-tip. You could have gone to another KBBQ/Hotpot spot or somewhere that actually specializes in it for that price, or cheaper.
Volcano Korean BBQ & Hot Pot truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The cleanliness of the space stood out right away, and the cozy, family-friendly atmosphere made me feel right at home.
A delightful surprise was meeting Bella, the friendly robot server — such a fun and modern touch! The food was absolutely delicious, reminding me of the wonderful Korean cuisine I enjoyed during my time in Hawaii. It’s such a joy to know I can come here for those same amazing flavors.
The service was exceptional — attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, and I can’t wait to bring my grandchildren along to share this experience. Highly recommend!
