We came for sushi and everything we ordered was great! Volcano in general is always high quality. Not pictured is that we got desserts the tempura fried cheesecake was super good and we did mochi as well. I personally am not a mochi fan but my kids liked them. I also asked for gluten free soy sauce and they brought some out for me which I appreciate/

This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.
As soon as we walked in the hostess was very quick to greet us. She was very polite in checking that my dog “Lulu” was indeed a service animal. I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name as I was taking in the atmosphere. She was great at explaining how the HOT POT works. We were then immediately seated and greeted by our server.
Our server Steven was AMAZING. Steven also made sure that Lulu was a service animal. He then walked us through making our HOT POT, Korean Bbq and buffet. Our drinks immediately came out he even brought Lulu her own sweet tea in a to-go cup The cups were never empty the whole meal. I let my husband go up to the buffet first as we do not take Lulu around other peoples food to be respectful. When my husband came back I went to the buffet and before I could get back to the table Steven already had our food on the table and meat was already cooking. The whole meal was beyond excellent. The manager even checked up on us and made sure not only was my husband and I taken care of but that Lulu was as well.
We will definitely be driving the 1 1/2 hours to come back.

Food was good, but nothing setting it apart from other Asian restaurants. Service was good. The issue is it is WAY over priced. My wife and I have been there 3 times and found we really did not get any value. The last time we went we have the hibachi. Everyone at the table had to pay $1.00 extra for fried rice, and our bill, for just the 2 of us was over $70.00, and we had chicken and steak. I don’t understand Asian restaurants charging extra for fried rice. To me that is like charging extra for the sugar in your sweet tea.
Sorry, it is a nice place, but not worth the money.

I have to edit my original review. The service was great until it was time to checkout.
Your company has a advertisement for Sam’s club and Costco, that states, “purchase (2) $50 gift cards for $74.99. This should be easy.. BUT, it’s not. None of your servers seem to know anything about it, Adrie definitely didn’t know anything about it. So…I’m not going to pay twice. Meaning pay for the gift cards specifically purchased to enjoy the meal and also pay again because you’re employees at this point are now stating…”the cards can only be used at Steak and Sushi and not at Korean BBQ. This can’t be happening . Adrie now recommends we get a refund from Sam’s but if anyone who is familiar with Sam’s club policy, there is no refund on gift cards. Lovely, she knows their policy but is absolutely no help with Volcano KOREAN BBQ policy. Now over 1.5 hours later, after speaking with Nicoh, the manager at Steak and Sushi, who I must give 5 stars to, understood the assignment. He knew why there was an issue with purchasing the gift cards in Hiram’s Sam’s club and gave a solution to our problem with a smile, unlike at Korean BBQ. There is no way, I would have known Hiram Sam’s doesn’t carry the advertised special. Your company needs to give better communication regarding this.
I do appreciate Nicoh’s help, it lightened a very frustrating experience. Please take time to educate all of your employees regarding your featured specials so no one else has to go through what we did. And a BIG THANKS Nicoh(I hope this is the correct spelling of his name.

Stopped here with my family for KBBQ dinner since we didn’t feel like making the hour trip to Duluth, but honestly after eating here we should have just driven the extra miles.

Thankfully we’re familiar with KBBQ, because our server didn’t ask us if we’ve ever been here before, or if we know how to cook the meats, or anything. She turned the grill on max heat and left us to fend for ourselves basically. There was also not any info on how long to cook which meats, etc like other places have so I’d feel really bad for people new to KBBQ eating here.

The side dish buffet was alright, lots of fried foods and the japchae was served cold for some reason. I didn’t see any KBBQ sauces like Ssamjang, sesame oil- just hotpot sauces and hibachi sauces from next door. Meat quality was decent, filet mignon was the best tasting of the meats on the menu. I did like the ice cream cooler and chinese donut dessert options.

Overall though, definitely not worth the price. It was about $170 for a family of 4 for dinner pre-tip. You could have gone to another KBBQ/Hotpot spot or somewhere that actually specializes in it for that price, or cheaper.

Came here for my 21st and had an amazing time. Jasmine was my server and was very attentive. Food and drinks were so tasty, although the meat was a little too fatty. Tina was a big help in making my night special. Would definitely come again.

An amazing experience!

Volcano Korean BBQ & Hot Pot truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The cleanliness of the space stood out right away, and the cozy, family-friendly atmosphere made me feel right at home.

A delightful surprise was meeting Bella, the friendly robot server — such a fun and modern touch! The food was absolutely delicious, reminding me of the wonderful Korean cuisine I enjoyed during my time in Hawaii. It’s such a joy to know I can come here for those same amazing flavors.

The service was exceptional — attentive, friendly, and thoughtful. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, and I can’t wait to bring my grandchildren along to share this experience. Highly recommend!

We used to be regulars. The food is fantastic. The spare rips or volcano ribs are the best. Me and family went for lunch. I have a 6 month old baby. He didn’t eat anything but because he was present it put us at 5 people. Management did even care they charged a fee of $21.50 because he was there. We won’t be back. Charging a extra $21.50 because a baby is present that doesn’t even eat solids yet is ridiculous

The service was pretty good. There were times we had to wait for more food to show up and I’m honestly not sure what the service button on the table does. The food was good but some was really fatty and chewy once cooked. It was good overall but I wouldn’t say it was great I’m any specific area.
