Best food ever! The food I ordered was delicious. All the food items on the menu should be tried. Samee has amazing customer service skills and explains all items slowly and clearly. He even gave me an item to taste before I bought it and that was very nice of him. I know I will be back soon and will definitely tell my family and friends about this place. It is in front of UIC in Chicago and a lot of students eat here. My son brought me here since we were in the city and I am glad I came here. Thank you Samee for your hospitality and exceptional customer service. We appreciate you!!!

Let me just say the portions are huge. I tried The butter chicken rice bowl, chicken briyani, Frontier chicken and the garlic naan everything was amazing! I had a taste for some butter chicken and when I got to the resturaunt I wanted everything on the menu I had enough food for the 5 people I was with plus more. I only got a picture of the butter chicken because everyone was digging in before I could get pictures.

Stopped by Ghareeb Nawaz near UIC for a quick, affordable meal and left thoroughly satisfied. Spent around $15 and got a hefty portion of Chicken Biryani with added paneer, a side of Palak Paneer, and a refreshing Mango Lassi. Portions are generous, and the prices can’t be beat.

Ordered butter chicken and naan through Uber Eats and unfortunately had a very poor experience. The butter chicken was extremely inconsistent — very red and overly spicy at the bottom, but mild at the top, as if it wasn’t mixed properly. The chicken itself tasted old and lacked freshness.
The naan breads were stale and not soft as expected. The raita was very watery and tasted more like diluted mint chutney than proper yogurt-based raita.
Owners are shameless who are running the restaurant for no good and making people hard earned money and time waste.
THIS RESTAURANT MUST BE CLOSED DOWN FOR GOD SAKE!!!!

I was visiting Chicago on a way back decided to grab to go food for my drive back. The food was half way cooked. The kabbabs were not cooked properly. The Biryani was ok. It used to be good couple of years back. I do t know why they change the recipe or the chefs. The Birtani was not good as it used to be couple of years back. Do yourself a fave don’t have any high hopes anymore. Food is ok now I guess for the price we pay. But beside biryani nothing is cheap on the menu. Anyways!!

Just Avoid
This restaurant is a major disappointment! The excessive use of food coloring makes the dishes look unappetizing, and the taste is akin to consuming trash. I strongly advise against dining here for the sake of your health. While it may be budget-friendly, the food is simply not edible. We trashed all of the food.
Avoid at all costs.

This place absolutely smacks. The sheer value alone is mind boggling. For $20 I can get enough food to last me almost 4 meals. And everything tastes awesome as well. OG biryani with bone in chicken is great, it’s fragrant and spicy as it should be. And their butter chicken is probably the best I’ve had. Don’t come here expecting a high end restaurant experience, this is just excellent, value driven, delicious indo-pak food

The cheapest and authentic taste i’d ever found in USA. It just felt like home both prices and the food!! You can order 2 things under $10 and still can’t finish in one go! University of Illinois chicago students from Asia are in heaven bc of this.. must visit and feel like home. The spice level is good for the taste buds, everything was up to the mark. Never left a review but this needs to be said out loud

I don’t know how this place is not rated close to 5 stars on Google. Considering the prices (relatively inexpensive casual dining), I think the quality is incredible. The meat is always tender, and every dish I’ve had has great flavor (and I’ve tried at least 10). I’ve never eaten in the restaurant, so maybe there is something about the space or dine-in experience that is lacking, but I don’t know how the food is not 5 stars for the price and style of food. I love this place.

Hole in the wall restaurant located on the corner of Roosevelt in a little plaza. From the outside you wouldn’t think much of this restaurant, but on the inside you’ll be blown away with this hidden gem! It’s a no frills, Indian/Pakistani restaurant offering very cheap delicious eats. I ordered butter chicken with basmati rice and chapatti. All for $15. Incredible flavor, perfect amount of spice and large portions— what more could you want!
