I rarely go out to eat anymore because of the rising cost of take out/ dining out. If I’m gonna spend $16 on a salad, it has to be right. The sunset Cobb has always been my favorite and has always been made with Panko chicken. Apparently they changed this and now it’s just a regular old cold, diced chicken. I get it. It’s a salad and most people who are eating a salad are being health-conscious and maybe don’t want the breaded chicken. The Panko chicken, in my opinion, is the best thing about the salad, especially when it’s freshly made and hot. They were super kind and re-made it for me, but just a heads up the recipe changed! In the end, the salad was worth the price. It’s not always consistently made, though, I will say that. Sometimes you get a lot of the ingredients which makes it worth the price and other days they skimp, but for the most part, it’s my favorite salad in town!! People are super kind here.

Absolutely the best pastrami reuben that I’ve had in Charleston. The balance of the amount of meat to dressing and kraut was perfect on their grilled rye. I look forward to trying their other offerings but it’s going to be hard not to get this one again next time. Well done.

Charleston Bakery & Delicatessen is truly a hidden gem! The food was absolutely phenomenal! Fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. On top of that, their dessert selection is incredible: cheesecakes, cookies, croissants, and so many other delicious treats that it’s hard to choose just one.
The atmosphere was warm and friendly, making the whole experience even better. I can’t believe I didn’t discover this place sooner, but I’m so glad I finally did. I will 100% be a returning customer and highly recommend stopping by if you haven’t already!

It was my first time in this place. I loved everything, I highly recommend it. Food is delicious and you go crazy that you don’t know what to choose, it’s a wide variety. It is definitely my favorite place of family breakfast.

Everything this place makes is delicious! I have tried the shrimp and grits, the danishes, the bagels, the quiche and many other things over the years and I would highly recommend all of it. It can be tough to get a seat here when they are busy, but that is really just a testament to how good this place is. This is definitely a must-try if you are visiting the area, I consider myself lucky to have lived near this place

So delicious! We get my son’s haircut next door and every time we come (evening) they are closed but today we had a Sat morning appointment. This bakery does not disappoint. Everything on display looked delicious! Just got a toasted bagel and my son got a brownie and I got an iced latte. Everything was fresh and delicious and the coffee…. soooo good. Highly recommend. Friendly staff and the service was very fast
