The food here is fantastic and has remained consistent over the years. However, I’ve noticed a decline in portion sizes. Three years ago, the portions were significantly larger. Despite this change, it’s still a great place to go for a Pollo Loco.

Christmas Eve dinner was a bomb!! At this moment it is difficult to keep my verbage from becoming highly foul, though I do not believe my words could out do the quality of slop I was given. I don’t usually complain unless it is something completely unacceptable and this so happens to be such an occasion. Totally unaceptable. I have come to this location maybe a handful of times and I’ve noticed the quality of food does change depending upon the area. With that said I was not happy and I won’t be returning. I will let the pics speak for me and you will see why and yes there was something added that was not on the menu.

Today, February 1st, we decided to eat at the Pollo Loco on Northgate Street. We placed our order, and when we went to pay, the woman working the afternoon shift said she couldn’t accept the $50 bill. I don’t think that’s right. I believe they should have properly trained staff for customer service. The order was canceled by the customer. I just want to know why she couldn’t accept that bill, especially since it had just been withdrawn from the ATM a few minutes earlier?

This place is horrible, the food is nasty over priced and very dry. The tables were dirty all of them you had to go ask an employee to clean them, he asked which table I’m like all of them. This place is trash. I thought it was going to be good and the servicing size are super small it’s just a mess. I would never go here again.

I was excited to visit Sacramento, they have an El Pollo Loco. Where I live now does not have one. It has been at least 10 yrs since I have eaten at an El Pollo Loco. Great, friendly customer service and helpful in offering suggestions on what to order. I did not give the full stars because I remember the taste all those years ago had more of a bright citrusy flavor, this time it seemed to be lacking. Overall, still good eats!

LOVED IT!! My whole family loved it. There’s lots of vagrants around so beware. Vacant lot attached is a junkie dumping ground. Also, while we were in the drive thru I looked down and noticed that there was a huge knife, at least 10″. I posted a video on my YouTube, with the knife and told the manager about it. But, what about the food? They screwed up our actual order, gave someone else half of our food, like a whole bag of food, there was 3 adults and 3 kids, so my total was $50 something bucks. I had to physically go in and show my bag and receipt. And STILL didn’t have silverware. Had to get some from somewhere else.
THE POSITIVE is that the food was all fresh and tasty. We had very little food left over!!

Terrible, HORRIBLE employees. So rude, I’ve never encountered employees like that. Specifically the white girl with huge lashes, she gave us the most unwelcoming stares. We walked in, 10 minutes before closing and they told us that we couldn’t sit down and we had to take the order to go. We wanted to sit to wait for our food to take it to go and they said we couldn’t even do that. Other customers came back because their orders were wrong but the door was already locked before their closing time. They were rushing and messing everything up. When we got our order, we asked for utensils and they rolled their eyes at us and gave us two utensils. We asked for more because we ordered six dishes, and the employee said “PLEASE can I get some more utensils“ as if we had no manners. If you want to meet the rudest people, go here.
