It was freezing out so a bowl of spicy soup was warm and comforting. The place is nice, comfy, and the menu has a large variety that can hit any craving you could have. The cinnamon rolls are as big as my face.

If I lived in Santa Fe I’d hang out here. Went twice on a weekend trip. So good the first time, had to try other things. Fun place. Good food. Good coffee.

Stopped here for lunch and ordered a couple of sandwiches. Both the egg salad and meatball sandwiches were flavorful. The fries were really good, too. Atmosphere is casual and there’s a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. The parking is somewhat challenging but overall this was a nice place for lunch. Not too expensive and good portion sizes. They also have gluten-free bread that doesn’t fall apart.

Delicious little counter service spot tucked beyond the popular streets. The small parking lot was packed, which was a good sign to us. I picked this place because of vegetarian options. They have a small menu but we didn’t have trouble choosing what to eat. I had the Asian platter with spring rolls and noodles-delicious! My partner had a bowl of salmon curry soup which was also super yummy! Inside the restaurant was rather warm so we opted for the front patio. What a cute place with a great vibe. They also offered baked goods, wine and beer and coffee. It seemed like there was plenty of seating to choose from too. This would be great for a family lunch hang out. We went in a Saturday afternoon in winter and it was busy but not overly crowded. (We found parking across the street pretty easily). They accept cards but add a 3.7% fee. We spent around $25 dollars for an entree and a bowl of soup. We were very satisfied with the quality, price and overall experience.

Despite the decently sized line when I arrived, I was taken care of surprisingly quick. My food arrived quite fast for how busy they seemed. Potions were much larger than I expected, and the food was delicious and exactly what I needed. This will be a regular spot now for sure.

Drove up to Santa Fe for a day trip from ABQ. Excited to try this cafè because of all the great reviews it had. Come in and my first impression of it was “too loud”. I get it, it’s Sunday at brunch.

I looked at the menu and nothing really screamed at me (nothing impressive/basic brunch menu). So I picked the Huevos Rancheros with the Green sauce and got an OJ. The OJ came out of a basic milk jug type gallon. When I got to my table, I noticed the pulp was all clumped up. No biggie, mixed it with my straw.

When the food came, it didn’t look like the Huevos Rancheros I’ve seen before. I took a bite and was surprised it actually had a kick to it, New Mexican food isn’t really spicy to me. That was a good surprise, but what I didn’t enjoy was that the black beans were not properly cooked so some of them were hard.

I also ordered some pancakes. I felt very disappointed by them because they were dry and they only give you like a 2oz side of syrup. That’s fine, but these pancakes were HUGE.

All and all, I wouldn’t come back to eat here, but if I’m with a group. At least I have expectations to not get excited about.

One of the best breakfasts I’ve had in my life. Perfect balance between sweet and savory. My wife and I shared these two dishes and couldnt have been happier. The full menu looks amazing and cannot wait to go back for lunch!

Amazingly great food, vegan, and carnivore eats. Clean bathroom and just a remarkable staff that will take good care of their customers. The atmosphere is what greatness you can feel and bring to this gem of an eatery. I so enjoyed the steak sandwich with the bountiful of fries. Salads, sandwiches, and even more goodies. This place just astonished me and my grandchildren… yes, I brought picky eaters and a vegan on at that, such a great place to enjoy great food. Browse the menu order and get your utensils and necessities, and find a cozy table to your liking until you receive your order. It is so delicious. Enjoy.

My daughter and son in law have vacationed in Santa Fe several times and my wife and I were making our first visit to Santa Fe.They have been to Counter Culture several times and have said the food is great.
I had one of few breakfast specials. The Lemon Ricotta pancakes with strawberries and real maple syrup. My wife the 2 egg plate , Daughter had the Cowboy Bowl 2 eggs, bacon, black beans, sour cream, red or green chile w/homefries & flour tortilla, and son in law had the hand held Burrito egg, cheese, potato, onion & chile. He help my daughter eat her breakfast because the Cowboy bowl is huge.
My pancakes were a little dense but very tasty. Everyone enjoyed their breakfast. You can taste the food is high quality. Great service too.

Cash only! …well, they used to be!
Let me tell you, the food here is next-level. I’m fully addicted to their lemon ricotta pancakes — they’re fluffy, zesty, and borderline magical. I once surprised my wife with some at home, and they arrived in perfect shape. Total hero moment. ✨

Oh, and don’t even get me started on the Cowboy Bowl — hearty, flavorful, and just straight-up comforting. If you’re craving a killer breakfast in this beautiful city, this place is a must.

Fast forward: I’m divorced now. A lot has changed…
But Counter Culture? Still holding it down like a champ.

They’ve upgraded — no more “cash only” panic — and somehow, the lemon ricotta pancakes are even better than I remembered. I might be single now, but at least I’ve got pancakes.
