Another wonderful representation of how exceptionally kind the people of Florence are. Service was fantastic, so fun and attentive with great recommendations for us. We had the burrata ravioli with basil, sauteed spinach, Florentine steak, and chocolate torte cake. Everything was wonderful. The cake was an absolute favorite! Will definitely visit again.

If you’re looking for an amazing pasta joint that delivers taste, quality and excellent service, then this is absolutely the place to visit.
Let’s start with the service: Italian excellence. Drilon, our waiter for the evening, was beyond exceptional. Anything we asked, he provided, including things that were not on the menu. H3 was courteous and generous with explanations, information and small tokens of appreciation. The other staff members were also great, and very attentive to our table.
And then the pasta… of all the places we visited in this city, the pasta here was one step above the rest. From the classic dishes to the more elaborate options, everything was delicious, and the portions were generous.
The atmosphere was excellent, with very nice music, perfect volume and adequate lighting.
All in all it was an excellent experience, and highly recommended if you’re in the city.

Charming restaurant run by very friendly young staff. The florentine steak was outstanding. The prices are frankly high. The wines were meh by the glass – the selection both by the bottle and glass could be better. The atmosphere is quaint and fairly charming, though it’s basically 100% tourists. The octopus appetizer is also good.

I discovered Il Morellino while walking the streets one evening in Florence and the only word to describe this restaurant is EXCEPTIONAL! I have been in Italy 2 weeks now and eaten in everything from Michelin restaurants to quaint hidden restaurants. This was the absolute best meal that I had! I am actually sad that I only have 6 more days to enjoy this incredible gem. I was in search of a “simple” meal this evening…in truth, while a simple order, the food was anything but simple. Each comfort dish, layered in flavor. A true masterpiece. The restaurant offers more high end dishes, as well…and I will return to try them as well! But for me, meal felt home cooked by a nonna who was making all of your favorite dishes for hours upon hours on the kitchen. And the service! I cannot speak highly enough of the kindness of the staff. They do not rush you and perfectly time your dining experience. It is a true experience to be savored. Do yourself a favor: do not leave Florence without a stop at Il Morellino!

Cozy, quaint restaurant on a cute little side street in Florence. We stopped here for lunch as soon as we got to town as it was located near our Air B&B. We had just come from Rome and we were so happy to end up at this restaurant. It was the BEST meal we had! As a result, we ate 3 of our 4 meals in Florence here. The staff is SO kind, provides exceptional service, great prices, and the food is DELICIOUS. Some of the items we tried: ossobuco, spaghetti ragu, roasted potatoes, bruschetta, creme brûlée, steak, espresso martini, Negroni….ALL delicious! They remembered us each time we came and we felt like family! Thank you all so much for making our time in Firenze so lovely!!! We hope to see you again next time we are in Italy! We went to another restaurant one night for dinner. It was very expensive and did not even compare to this gem of a restaurant! Go here – you won’t be disappointed!

Il Morellino became our go-to restaurant in Florence — we ended up coming back almost every evening because everything was that amazing! The food is absolutely delicious, freshly made, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the care that goes into every dish.
The staff are genuinely friendly, welcoming, and incredibly attentive. The atmosphere is fantastic — cosy, lively, and full of that warm Italian charm that makes you want to stay for hours.
We were also treated to lovely surprises: complimentary limoncello shots on the house, and even an extra portion of pasta brought out for me, even though I had already ordered my chicken parmigiana! Moments like these make you feel truly appreciated as a guest.
This is, without a doubt, one of the best places to eat in Florence. It’s officially our must-visit spot — as soon as we’re back in the city, we’ll be heading straight to Il Morellino. Highly, highly recommended!

It was the first restaurant we chose to eat for our first night in Florence and for the rest of our holidays we didn’t want to book anywhere else. It is the perfect, most authentic Italian restaurant. We had dinner 3 days in a row and every plate was so delicious! We’re not regretting that we didn’t eat anywhere else.
I totally recommend trying the burrata stuffed ravioli with the best tomato sauce that I ever tried, the caesars salad and the pasta with the wild boar sauce. The prices were very reasonable.
Also the stuff was very kind and helpful. And the atmosphere very calm and cozy. If we’re ever getting back in Florence, we’re surely going back to Il Morellino! Bravissimo!

Top tier, and consistently so. The crostini with chicken liver pate was incredibly rich and balanced, far superior to others we have tried. The tartufo pasta was fragrant and creamy,
The octopus gnocchi was so tender and went well with the umami from the octopus and tangy kick from the sauce.
The seafood pasta was just packed with seafood umami flavour.
Burrata with oranges and local honey – wow – a real art of balance that allowed my madame to enjoy burrata, something that has been difficult to achieve.
Service was that of quiet professionalism – respectful and dignified. We love this place, perhaps the best that we have had in Italy.

10/10 recommend. Everything is absolutely delicious. We were in Florence for a total of 6 nights and dined there 4 out of the 6 nights. We just had to keep coming back bc we had a goal to try every thing in their menu. Only reason we didn’t do the other two nights bc we were too tired to go out and eat dinner lol!
