I can’t say this is one of my go to places, but after tonight it might become one! The atmosphere is modern and roomy. The service was impeccable—thanks Thomas! I also loved my half off beef quesadilla appetizer and my cup of soup! Excited to go back!

Very cool venue as a repurposed fire station. The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I found the salsa and chips to be just okay- more akin to store-bought. I ordered the Two Street tacos from the small plate menu. They were also fine, but not amazing. The meat was flavorful, but the toppings and tortillas were a bit lacking. I would definitely visit this place again, but maybe get something else. It also seemed a bit pricey for the quality.

This place is an icon in SLC. I use to come here when it was in the old Rio Grand Station downtown. I’m glad they found such a cool place as their new location. The food is still amazing and the never ending salsa and chips make this place. Service is top notch. Unfortunately they do not take reservations so we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table of 7 on a Friday night which was not bad.

Great food! Good vibes!
I ate at the old location a lot growing up, and this location is definitely not my dad’s Rio Grande Cafe, but it is still a great place to eat.
Excellent food. I had a bean burrito and a cheese enchilada, and enjoyed both a lot. And while it’s a much different vibe (never thought of the old location as a trendy place for college kids), I still had a nice time.

Estella served us and was AMAZING! She was so cute and made our night. Great service and atmosphere. Food was wonderful as well! The super burrito was the biggest one I’ve ever seen in my life.

First time eating here. Was up in the area for a doctor appointment. The building itself is really cool to start off. Food was amazing & that salsa was so fresh.. just perfect! I had the Beef Chimi & it was very good. Wish I lived closer – I would visit more often

Party of 4 at 6p on a Monday night. It was slow, but that was okay with us. We were seated upstairs while we waited for the other half of our party, but no problem. Server (I think Tom?) took our drink orders and brought chips and salsa. Also suggested queso since it was on the house on Mondays. So appreciated! The rest of the experience held up just as well. The other half of our party of 4 showed up within a couple of minutes, and they were treated just as kindly. Food received was the food ordered, and it was hot and tasty. I had pork enchiladas “caliente” smothered with chile verde for $2 extra. I’d definitely get it again, pork filling was of high quality and delicious. Beer, wine, and booze selections were above average, and the beer was $5.50 a pint for draft which is reasonable these days. Server reminded us about the $2 pint deals on Tuesday night, which is a fantastic deal. The restaurant is beautiful, clean, and orderly. The food is fresh and tasty. The drinks are great. Onsite parking was easy this night, but could be challenging on a busier night. I’ve been supporting this business for years, mostly when they were over in the old railroad station and only a few times at their newer location on 13th, and I think the experience is better than ever. Give this restaurant your business, they deserve your support!

Lovely place to eat. The inside is awesome and they converted it well. There are two floors for dining and outdoor eating if the weather is nice. No complaints with service. Everyone was friendly and attentive. Food tasted exactly as I hoped. Tried the beef enchilada with rice and beans. Salsa was good flavor wise. Didn’t love how it was chunky as it was hard to eat and the chips kept breaking (I do recognize that is personal preference).

We just had dinner there tonight and both ordered the burrito and cheese, enchilada combo plates. The enchilada on my plate was completely burned and left a foul taste in my mouth. I had ordered extra cheese and it was not delivered with this. Both the enchilada in the burrito were if anything, maybe a quarter of an inch thick. They charge for chips and salsa. We just had come to this restaurant exhausted from removing our son from a ventilator and needed a decent meal, but it was so disappointing. We cannot recommend this place for anyone who wants a decent authentic wonderful Mexican meal.
