We started as two college buddies who opened a hot dog cart while attending West Chester University in the early ‘80s. My first time here and from out of state. This restaurant is more like a diner setting.
When we arrived there was nobody tending to the front hostess area. I Went to restroom, which was absolutely disgusting, then came back to the front and still no attendant.
I finally found him , he was playing games at the bar. He threw his game to the side like it was a bother for him to seat and serve us.
Menus felt nasty like they were never wiped down from the night before and food was average.

I bike up to the Riverfront from Historic New Castle and often treat myself to the Salmon with coleslaw and sweet potato fries.
The food is prime delicious including the service. I sit outside so I can enjoy the view and the experience. This last Sunday was over the top.
I had the sweetest young female server. The table behind me had 4 women of color who were really enjoying their time together. Their laughter was uplifting and infectious. I tipped the waitress for her stellar service, then as I was leaving asked the group of women if they wanted me to take their picture together on one of their cell phones. (I love photography) They said yes and profusely thanked me. My point is this is one of two of my favorite restaurants. Enjoy the experience!

Timothy’s is a hidden gem accessible from the Riverfront. The staff were genuine and the food is excellent. They have an expansive menu with pub choices and unique dishes with crab and shrimp (Alfredo, Crab Cakes, Quesadillas). Their Happy Hour menu is a great quick stop when walking the Riverwalk.

Timothy’s helped us to host our daughter’s baptism celebration in the riverfront room. Everything was wonderful. Communication for set up was timely and accommodating and the staff day of was prompt and efficient. The server for our party was kind and on it! She had everything we needed ready and the food kept coming. The food was delicious and we all had a wonderful time. Thank you all !

They were terribly understaffed and seemed not to be able to handle a very moderate (and predictable) mid day “rush” on the first nice day in months. The waiters were seating. Our group of 8 was seated just after another group of 10 and as I said, they seemed to not know exactly how to handle it. Service was slow. One lady across from us asked to borrow our menu as she had been seated and left without any such amenities. Moments later she left without much conversation, the waitress/server seemed not to care that this happened. It was easily 10 mins before our drink orders were taken, 10 more before they arrived, then another 15-20 for them to be replaced after the waitress spilled half of them on the table behind us. Mind you we waited 10 mins in a mostly empty restaurant first. So by now we were there for 30-40 mins before any food came out at all (Maybe more). When the food did come mine & my niece’s burgers were both done a stop or two under ordered rareness. She ordered hers medium. It came medium rare/rare as did mine. She returned hers requesting a more done burger. The waitress returned to tell us that the cook “said that the burger WAS cooked medium” and she implied that we didn’t know what the terminology meant. To which I responded “then please give us whatever would be less pink inside”. She smiled and nodded and returned 20 mins later with a (Maybe) 20% more well done burger. She picked at it as we requested the check. THAT came to us almost instantaneously. Then we waited another 10 mins for her to return to get our money. At the moment my burger is sitting like a stone in my belly. Definitely won’t be back to Timothy’s. I might avoid food on that Riverwalk altogether.
To be fair, my kids’ burger & fries & chicken fingers seemed fine. All the fries were pretty decent.

Really enjoyed my visit here! Justin, our server, was super friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. The food was incredible — easily a 10/10 on flavor. The vibe inside feels both chill and familiar, almost like a spot you’ve been going to for years. I can already see myself stopping by again whenever I’m in the area.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we wanted to dine outdoors, but there was a 20-minute wait with no list. We chose to sit at the bar instead. After sitting i realized I forget my ID , I returned after going back home to get it as i didn’t live far and was greeted by Colin, the bartender, who remembered our drink orders. Although he expressed that the kitchen was experiencing delays, my soup which isn’t pictured ( crab & shrimp chowder 6.5/10 ) came quickly, and the wings (8.5/10) and pizza (9/10) followed in about 10 minutes. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I’ll definitely return.

I had such a fantastic time at Timothy’s Riverfront Grill! I ordered the wings, a burger, and their amazing crab dip ( EXTREMELY GOOD) every single bite was absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed a round of drinks, including margaritas, a Hennessy cocktail for my husband, and I tried an espresso martini that might just be my new go-to.
The staff was so fun, kind, and made me feel completely welcomed. Shoutout to my awesome bartenders Kourtney and Collin, along with two other team members (a friendly female with curly hair and a male staff member) who were such a pleasure to be around.
The restaurant was super clean, professional, and even the other customers added to the great atmosphere. Whoever manages this place should be proud because the team seems extremely well trained and genuinely enjoys their work.
My sister actually had a baby shower here years ago, and I enjoyed it back then , and I’m happy to say I enjoyed it just as much now in 2025.
