First time having real Indian cuisine and this place hit the spot! I knew it was gonna be good the moment we walked in and we were smacked with the aroma of spices. We had Chicken Tikki which was so incredibly tender and seasoned. I wish I knew how to cook chicken that was so tender and moist inside and out and FULL of flavor throughout. We were serves with 3 different sauces at our table and even though all 3 sauces were flavorful the food didn’t need sauce, we STILL added the sauce lol. The butter chicken was amazing as well. Slightly sweet with a hint of tomato in the end, but still very well seasoned. I myself had the Chicken Vindaloo. It was pretty spicy considering we had a level 5 spice all around, but man that flavor just kept me coming back. The food overall was so very well seasoned and gave you that urge to just keep eating. I got full pretty quick, but I had to stop myself from overeating lol. Will be coming back to try all the other dishes for sure!
I’m a total spice head, and I asked them to make it really spicy. Most places claim “spicy” but barely bring any heat. Not here. Karma Lounge actually delivered that deep, flavorful burn I crave, without losing any of the rich, layered taste that makes Indian food so amazing.
The ambience and lighting are spot-on: warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed night out. Portions are big for the price, around $16 easily gets you enough for two full meals, and they even include free rice with your entrée (a rarity these days and such a nice touch).
Hands down the best Indian food I’ve ever had. If you go, make sure to say hi to Ed. He’s an amazing host and will take care of whatever you need. Abba was a fantastic hostess too!
If you love Indian food, or even if you think you’ve had good Indian food before, do yourself a favor and try Karma Lounge. It deserves way more recognition than it gets. Absolute hidden gem.
Dining at Karma is more than just having a meal—it’s an experience that stays with you. From the moment you walk in, there’s a welcoming, calming atmosphere that immediately sets the tone. The space feels warm and intentional, making it a great place whether you’re there for a casual meal or something more meaningful.
The food is where Karma really shines. Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, with flavors that are balanced, fresh, and full of care. You can tell that attention is paid not just to how the food tastes, but how it’s presented and how it makes you feel while eating it. Nothing feels rushed or careless—each bite feels purposeful.
The service deserves special recognition. The staff is genuinely kind, attentive without being overbearing, and clearly invested in making sure guests enjoy their time. It’s the type of service that makes you feel valued rather than just served.
What makes Karma special is the overall feeling it leaves you with. There’s a sense of comfort, positivity, and intention that matches the name perfectly. You leave feeling satisfied, relaxed, and already looking forward to coming back.
If you’re looking for a restaurant that combines great food, welcoming service, and a meaningful atmosphere, Karma is absolutely worth the visit.
First, the food quality was disappointing. The goat curry was not cooked properly, the meat was rubbery and spongy, clearly undercooked. The Gobi Manchurian starter was overly crispy to the point where it felt burnt and hard. We’ve tried many Indian restaurants in the area, and this was easily the lowest in terms of taste and quality.
The service made things worse. We ordered multiple items including soup, curry, naan, and a chicken kulcha. Everything else was served, and we were almost done eating when we realized the kulcha never arrived. After we reminded the waiter, only then did they go to the kitchen to prepare it. It was brought out after we had already finished our meal.
What was truly unprofessional was that the waiter insisted we pay for the kulcha because it had already been made, even though it was only prepared after we reminded them. That was not acceptable. When we declined, they appeared frustrated and even spoke among themselves in their language in a way that felt disrespectful.
The restaurant was not busy, there were only about 4-5 tables when we arrived, and later just 2 tables. Yet we were told the kitchen was “busy,” which clearly was not the case.
We ended up paying around $75 for food that was below average and service that was extremely disappointing. I genuinely do not understand how this place has such high ratings.
Overall, poor food quality, disorganized service, and unprofessional handling of their own mistake. There are many better options nearby. I would strongly recommend trying another restaurant.
Upon walking in, you’re greeted with this lovely low light ambiance, no bright overhead lights and it feels smooth, relaxed. Definitely the type of feeling I got when I entered, our host and server Guri was very kind in getting me sat down. The menu had a lot of options, it was neatly styled and a few things pointed out to me which I ordered below…
The crispy Okra…..AMAZING. It wasn’t heavy on oil, came with some 3 very contrasting dipping sauces which each proved itself, a minty one, tangy, and a more savory tasting dip with diced veggies. Definitely an immensely good starter and I’d order it a million times over.
The paneer was rich, creamy, had sweet notes to it, and you can order in different spice levels up to 7. I went with a 4, I’ll be back to go to a 5 to up the kick, always play it safe first time trying a new place. To flush the food down, the Mango Lassi is an absolute MUST HAVE, with the thick mango flavored yogurt drink, it tastes like heaven in a glass cup.
I was super happy with Guri’s service, he was attentive, liked to talk to us about the food and was very passionate for the food as well. I’ll definitely be back for more!
