The food was very tasty. Our waiter was great and so attentive and fast! Bathrooms were clean but COLD. It was great and I will absolutely be back!

Went to try this place out after leaving the hospital… unfortunately, not impressed at all, especially for the prices! My mom got the white wine mushroom appetizer, our friend and I both got the Philly Cheese Steak minus bell peppers but add green chile instead with the house fries. The mushrooms had literally no flavor what so ever; no butter, no white wine, no garlic, nada. The Philly was completely over cooked, no flavor, even the green chile barely added flavor. The fries were amazing though! Service was just ok, and I’d say that’s being generous as there was only about six other people in the entire restaurant. Don’t think we’ll be back since that was 90 bucks plus tips.

Went for lunch, I had the Harvester Burger, one of the best burgers I have had anywhere in the country. We are full-time rv’ers, I came to Socorro for the first time in 2003 for a bomb class at EMRTC. I always wanted to go the the Very Large Array and golf New Mexico Tech’s golf course. I did both today! The wife had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes!! Very tasty!! Definitely eat here!! The Caesar salad was huge and delicious!! Thos is a hidden gem. If you are law enforcement please bring a patch so they can put it on their wall!!

Sunday is a tough time to figure out where to eat in Socorro because so many places are closed! I was lucky to find Yo Mama’s open because I really. needed some protein after a long day driving around Bosque! I ordered the Chili Burger with fries. It was huge and delicious. I wasn’t able to finish it all, but that is a good thing! The service was speedy and attentive. I didn’t have to ask for a refill, the gal was there offering before I could ask. This seems like a little thing, but these days I find it harder and harder to find good wait staff. If you are in Socorro, I do recommend this restaurant. Enjoy!

Really good burgers and hot green chile! The menu has a lot of variety. Good service, reasonable prices. I wish I had saved room for the carrot cake. Overall, this was a really good place to eat.

Nice small Town family bar and grill, In the old days, we would call it a tavern. With definitely a local feel. Both the husband and wife who own the place work there and really try to make a difference. All the staff I met were very helpful and kind. I love the fact that they got locally sourced.Chiles for their salsas and their chili cheeseburgers. Although I had a tech burger , I made sure I got a side of the local chiles. They have an extensive variety of food as well.Chicken dishes salads and burgers.
Restaurants and bars are also about expectations, what type of bar and restaurant are you going to? And everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. The small town restaurants you have to remember serve local families, ranchers, couples on dates to workers on temporary assignment for cable or some other service and really are gathering places. They’re not used to big city out of town tourists.So if you keep that in mind you’ll have a great experience at any of the small towns you visit. They offer quite a variety of New Mexico beers as well as some regular favorites. They make quite a variety of cocktails as well. Single diners are welcome at the bar or they’ll fit you in a table.If that’s not too busy.

For a long time I would get a really good plate of food here whenever I’d visit. The kind of food you get excited for. The last handful of visits have really let me down. There have been several occasions, when I’ve ordered a well-done burger or steak, and its come back very rare. I think the last meal I had here actually was a steak and it disappointingly had no flavor, and was very undercooked. I got a side of fries that were like eating actual sticks. The service was OK, but my husband and I still had to ask more than four times to have a cup of ranch and a bottle of A1 sauce brought to the table; not usually a big deal to us, if the establishment is very obviously busy (It was not.) It’s just a bummer. The atmosphere is and always has been pretty good, if a little loud during busy hours… The ranch is totally awesome, though.
Sadly, I am unlikely to hold a torch for yet another meal when my money can be better spent elsewhere.

It was a busy day on a Friday around lunch hour. However, waitress and hostess were quick and efficient. We were seated within 2 minutes. Food was delicious and generous amount of food. Vibe here is low key and comfy.

Horrible service. It took waiter three times to go by us before she could bring us to go boxes after we asked for another waiter. Chicken fired steak is terrible as well as dipped ice cream. One of the worst ice creams I had. The only nice thing about the food were mozzarella wedges – those were really good.
