Food was terrible the crawfish felt mixed some fresh some frozen no flavor. Waiter was new or shy regardless terrible service we would never go back. Fried shrimp had absolutely no seasoning. The bartender was putting out drinks fast but the waiter took forever to get them. Outside of that the place looked nice and clean.

Good staff and atmosphere, more laid back and family vibes than other seafood places I’ve gone to. Loved the food and the price!!! 10/10
Got 2 mini boils 2 adult drinks and Cajun fries and ranch for 40 bucks on a Friday evening.

It was my anniversary, and due to a back injury, I was limited how far i can drive. I looked up reviews of restaurants i have not been to, and this one popped up. So I took the family. The result: I like this place the best so far out of the boiled seafood places we visited in Austin. Atmosphere is alive and fun. Service was excellent, and the food came out super quick. It was delicious and we left very satisfied. I recommend .

I had a dinner with my family last night in hook and reel! That’s so yummy! This is my first to try it, the Cajun sauce was so delicious! Alex was my server and he is so awesome, he is so sweet and patient! We’re definitely gonna be back soon!

We visited this establishment this evening and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Our server, Ruby, initially took our drink order and brought them then we placed our food order. However, someone else delivered our meals and one of the items we ordered was missing. We were almost finished with our food before our server came back to check on us. The snow crab hardly had any meat which we wanted to bring the the servers attention ,but like I mentioned she did not return until we were done eating. At that point, we no longer wanted the missing item since it should have come out with the rest of our order. Our drinks never got refilled.
When she returned with the checks, we mentioned the missing item since it was still on the bill and asked for it to-go instead. Another 30 minutes passed and she never came back to collect our payment. I eventually had to go up to the register myself to request the bill be split. Even then, there was another delay of about five minutes before she picked up the other form of payment from our party.
Overall, the service was very poor. I’ve been in the service industry for 13 years, so I understand how things can get busy — but I do expect decent service when dining out. We’ve been here before and had wonderful service previously, which made this visit even more disappointing.

My wife and I went here for Valentine’s Day and there was a long line out the door which was understandable. After an hour wait, we were seated and ordered two waters to start. We received our drinks 20 minutes later and our server disappeared for another 20 minutes before coming back to finally take our order. We ordered the crab, mussels, shrimp, and crawfish. The crawfish tasted obviously frozen and were super rubbery and bland despite ordering them in spicy hook n reel sauce.

My wife tried one of the mussels and said it had a strange taste at first. After some more chewing, she spit out the food and realized that the mussel may have been spoiled and it left a terrible, bitter, and nasty taste that lingered in her mouth for the duration of the meal. The taste was so bad that she could not eat any more of her meal without tasting that awful taste. She could not finish her crab or shrimp because of one spoiled mussel that ruined her taste buds and her mood!! Keep in mind, our server did not check in on us once at this point. I wanted to speak to a manager about these issues but another employee said that there is no manager there. It’s hard to believe that there would be no manager on such a busy day like Valentine’s Day with a huge line out the door. $120 down the drain. DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT FOOD POISONING AND BAD SERVICE OR A BLAND FROZEN MEAL AT BEST! The restroom was kinda cool tho 🙂

We saw this place in passing and decided to stop on the way back. And unfortunately, it wasn’t all that great. We ordered the Cajun boil, fried pickles, and calamari. The calamari wasn’t very good in our opinion, but the fried pickles were fantastic. So that’s a great option for an appetizer. The Cajun boil was also not hitting the mark for us. The crawfish weren’t very flavorful, and it seemed that they may have been overcooked. The food was brought out extremely fast which makes me wonder if it had already been made. The shrimp weren’t bad and the muscles were okay. The corn was the only part that really had a lot of flavor. It honestly seems that everything was boiled in regular water and then the sauce was added to try and flavor the food.

There was one major complaint that we had. The menu said 1/2 pound of crawfish, 1/2 pound of muscles, and 1/2 pound of shrimp. There’s no way that’s what we were given. There was not much food brought to us which was honestly disappointing. There’s no way the 5 crawfish weren’t had made up half a pound.

Especially since we are from out of town, we will probably not be back to this place. I hope that we just came at a bad time. I don’t think I could recommend this place to anyone.

This place looks way better online than it actually is. The food came out fast, which made sense once we tasted it. The seafood boil was overcooked and underseasoned, like it was rushed out just to get plates moving. Shrimp were rubbery, corn had no flavor, and the sauce was more oily than Cajun.

For the price, you’d expect at least decent portions or fresh taste, but neither really showed up. The smell inside also wasn’t great.

Service wasn’t rude, just very indifferent. No check-ins, no refills, no sense that anyone cared if the food was good or not.

Not terrible enough to cause a scene, but definitely bad enough that I wouldn’t come back. Plenty of better seafood options in Austin.

I’ve been looking for a spot that reminded me of good times I’ve had in Atlanta! Good food, good people, GREAT MUSIC, and an amazing vibe! I went in and unbeknownst to me, they had a happy hour! The amazing bartender, Kandie made me one of the best lemons drops I’ve had since Atlanta! I end up ordering 4 ‍♀️ they were that good! Now I had to wait in my car for about 40 minutes before I could leave the parking lot, but the drinks did what needed to be done! Now the food. I wasn’t impressed with the way the fish looked, but I gave it a try anyway, and I’m glad I did! It was very flavorful and tasty! I’ll definitely be back!

Me and my husband recently dined here this past weekend and had an amazing time. We had one of the combo boils and it had the best crawfish. Our waitress, Ruby, was the absolute sweetest and was always checking on us while we dined. If you’re ever looking for a seafood place definitely check this one out!
