On September 6, 2010, Maudie’s Hill Country opened as our first stand-alone Maudie’s location. In addition, we have a private room available to rent for parties, meetings, and happy hours. With so much growth in the area, we love having a home to serve Tex-Mex in the hill country. Join us for Austin’s Neighborhood Tex-Mex 7 days a week and happy hour Monday 3pm – close and Tuesday – Friday 3 – 6:30pm!

We just had a graduation Party there. Eric P was excellent in assisting my wife with menus, food amounts and overall logistics. The Room upstairs accommodated 50 people easily and there was elevator access. The good was absolutely delicious and our Bartender Patty was amazing! Our family can not thank the Maudies family enough for an incredible event!! It was an amazing time had by all!!!! Thank you!

Maudie’s is GOOD, as in during our first visit we were already discussing when we could come back. I enjoyed the Poblano Crema Enchiladas for varieties’ sake, but will order something else next time. The Rice and Beans were both about as good as those sides can be! We had service both good and friendly, too.

I have not dined at this Maudie’s Tex-Mex location in a while but still has that great Mexican atmosphere and appealing menu. I ordered the #2 Grandma’s Special w/ chicken and was very good. It was two crispy tacos with guacamole salad. The chicken was delicious and very tasty. It felt basic but being a lunch item was good enough for me.
It was also cold inside but they have covered outdoor seating and a small bar. It’s a popular spot and being lunchtime in the middle of the week was packed.

We ate dinner there Saturday night. The queso was great. The specialty tea was refreshing. That’s about it. The nachos were cold and the meat did not taste like fajita meat, but rather like cubed beef. The texture was nothing like true fajita meat which made me gag a bit. We did not finish our dinner. I believe there are items on the menu that are good, but the nachos (not a true nacho chip) and quesadillas should definitely not be first pick.

The food was fantastic. Like lick your plate clean fantastic. I gave it 4 stars only because the host and waiter seemed dead inside and our drinks were never refilled. 100% would still recommend and come back.

I placed a “large to – go order” for pick up for a get together I was hosting. I sent my husband to pick it up and asked him to find out how much rice and beans was included in the order. As a restaurant manager myself, I know sometimes these portions can be a little skimpy if you have people who really like to eat. Whoever he asked said “I don’t know, enough for 9 people.” Okay, maybe they were newer. After telling me he wasnt quite sure I asked my husband to pick up an extra quart of each anyway to be safe. He arrived home
With 2 pints and not the 2 quarts which we confirmed he did pay for. I do not have time to go back to correct this mistake. On top of all of this they allowed my husband to walk out without paying for a near $200 order, which was also missing the chips and salsa he had to go back in to get. After letting me know he wasnt charged (thinking id probably paid online), I had to let him know to go back in and pay. So needless to say it was very frustrating to have gone out of our way to make this correct only to receive this quality of service in product. They didnt even seem to care that they got paid for the product they provided in the first place.
After calling the manager, he apologized and told me he would edit my check to reflect being charged for 2 pints and not quarts. No solution or suggested offered to fix the fact that I ordered extra for a specific reason and now did not have the product for my event. The whole ordeal felt very much like I was the one trying to ensure my order was correct time and time again, when your staff really couldn’t care less. Though the food was good, I cant see myself spending my money at this establishment again

Service was great. Friendly, accommodating, pretty quick to serve. Guac, queso, salsa, and chips – very good. After that, the food was just okay – not bad, just missing spice or anything resembling Tex-Mex seasoning. Had the taco plate, Taco salad, quesadilla, and flautas… Don’t get me wrong, decent, but tasted very Americanized. Had been led to believe it would be easy better. Oh well.

Wife loves the soup here. But I myself will not be back. First off the waiter was nice. But our drink order was Coke,Diet Coke and a Dr Pepper. What we got was two root beers and no Diet Coke. Told they were out of Diet Coke. I stated my Coke was a root beer and waiter changed it. Then stated there machine had a busted pipe and they were serving from cans. That’s when my daughter tasted her Dr Pepper and found out it was Root beer. My new Coke was Diet Coke. The food was avg with no flavor. My cheese enchiladas tasted like cheese sauce and not real cheese.

Great spot with typical Tex-Mex food options rright in Bee Caves. Food was great just like at other Maudie’s locations and drinks as well. Only reason for 4 stars is that they seemed to be short-staffed on a Sunday afternoon and just one waiter for all outside seatings. (He was great, but clearly overwhelmed with number of tables to attend to).

Best value breakfast in a lovely setting with amazing service. My huevos rancheros were only $8 and they were so yummy. They even bring free breakfast tortilla chips. Seems to be open every day for breakfast and on the Wednesday when we visited there was plenty of space. Our server was super efficient friendly and attentive.
