3 stars across the board. The meal came to us just as fast as we ordered. At first I thought “wow, what service!” But then I realized my chicken was microwaved and very tacky/tough. Two other customer next to my family also commented on the toughness of the food and how it couldn’t be cooked to order. So I asked the manager and she said there’s nothing wrong with it, they have a new cook who is just really fast. An obvious lie as the food was clearly pre-cooked and reheated. Service was slow and even after trying it again a week later to compare nothing had changed and both time we had flies… not a fly… flies! Buzzing around our table and landing on our food and we weren’t even near the entrance (we were next to the kitchen). Both times my family felt sick afterwards. Last note. They say they are an American restaurant but the menu has: American, Italian, Mexican, Asian, and other ethnic dishes. How can you be good at all of them as an American specialty restaurant? We will not be returning unless major changes occur and the owners watch a few episodes of kitchen nightmares to get their heads on straight.

My wife and I visited one of our favorite restaurant this evening. We visit the American table, I would say at least twice a week. I had the Pot Roast this evening which was absolutely amazing. The plate presentation was fantastic. The food items were cooked to perfection. The Roast beef was tender enough to cut with a plastic fork and knife. The gravy that covered the plate items would have made a rubber boot taste great. Needless to say, I came home happy and full of FA LA, LA, LA, LA. The staff are terrific and always eager to ensure the customers satisfaction. A great place to experience that down home cooking. Our thanks to the staff for making our dinning experience a good one. Just passing through. chose this over a fast food. The fish and chips were good, I prefer my fish a little crispier., The home fries were delicious. The chicken and rice soup was great. And my wife loved the bread pudding. The service was good. We would definitely recommend.

Food is always exceptional. Been going there since I was a child im 33. Never treated as I was this time and by the owner. Chris is amazing but his brother was very rude. I asked for the kids chicken tender meal as I recently had bariatric surgery and can eat very little. Never have I been declined at a restaurant even had a card to show. My mom and her friend were buying full entrees and drinks. I got an adult size drink too. He rudely came and told me they price their food this way and that way. I was still paying for a meal just one I would be able to eat and not waste alot of. After he declined again I said id wait to eat at home. Our friend said we’d go somewhere else. They didnt even try to make the customer happy so not only did they lose their 6.50 they were worried about but about 30 some extra and we will probably never go back. Sad as we’ve been going there for years. Very sad they arent accommodating. Bob Evans gave me a kids menu no questions asked. Thats customer service

My husband were in this area on a little honeymoon get away and wanted a place that served homestyle food – we checked this place and we ended up here 2 times during our little getaway Sunday Lunchtime is VERY busy, but we still only waited about 10-15 min at the most. The waitresses and hostesses were warm and welcoming and very helpful. My husband loved their chicken Alfredo- he ordered it both times. Love that they offer some hot tea options since both of us our tea drinkers esp at mealtime. They bring the tea out on little personal trays with honey and lemon and an extra pot with hot water . My steak, baked potato and broccoli hit the spot. I also had a breakfast platter the second time and it also hit the spot- they even had sourdough bread, which I loved. For the 2 of us our bill was less than $40! Very impressed! If we ever get back to the area we will definitely visit again!!!

Stopped on the way back from a trip to have breakfast. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful. I had the regular pancakes and a side of bacon. Pancakes are excellent, the bacon was good but tasted a little too much like the griddle It was cooked on.

Was all good till i took a bite if my food and had some piece of metal in it. Found it to be from their cleaning tool. They made it right by bringing me a new plate of food. Sad thing is and reason for my 3 star’s is they still charged me for the meal. Good customer service would have been to comp. My meal.. On the positive side, my waitress was awesome.
