Finding a quality spot for a meal is a priority, and this restaurant consistently offers a truly authentic Mexican experience with plenty of charm. Having dined here several times, I have found the entire atmosphere to be vibrant, welcoming, and thoroughly impressive.
The primary draw here is the service; the staff is super friendly and attentive. The refreshments are a particular highlight, as the food and drinks are always delicious. It is also worth noting that the portions are big and hearty, ensuring no one leaves hungry. A especially nice touch is the table-side service, where they prepare fresh guacamole right in front of you. I have seen the show many times now, and I still find it impressively theatrical—it is the only time I enjoy being “performed at” while I wait for my chips.
The environment is generally well-maintained. Once, our table had a few crumbs on it; however, the team cleaned it so fast I barely had time to point it out. The restaurant offers comfortable areas to enjoy your meal, and the restrooms are kept very clean. We were celebrating Valentine’s Day a day early and had the best dining experience here. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the restaurant was so clean and the food was delicious.
The birria tacos were delicious and the margs were spot on!! 10/10 and we will definitely be back soon.

I ordered the carne asada tacos and a side of guacamole – both were absolutely delicious! This restaurant has a lot going for it; it is lively with a great ambiance, the food usually tastes great, it is clean, and it has good parking, too. I really wish they could get their service up to par, though. We get seated quickly, but it takes forever for the waitstaff to greet us and take our drink order, meanwhile we have chips and salsa on the table with nothing to drink. The chips are thick, good quality, and the white queso is delicious, but God forbid someone bring you water with the chips and salsa. By the time they get your drink order and bring it to you, you’ve eaten all of the chips, but you still have salsa left, so it will take another 10 minutes for them to refill your chip basket. Once they get your order for the main course, which takes another 25-plus minutes, meanwhile your drink glass is empty by this time. I’d like to see Señor Tequila’s step it up in the service department; if they had better service, that would make for a much better, enjoyable experience.

I have always had a good experience at this restaurant. The food is pretty delicious especially the fajitas. The fajitas are always tender and flavorful. I also love their al pastor tacos. My friend absolutely loves the giant burrito covered in sauce. It is massive so be warned.

This was my first visit to Señor Tequila’s. I was so delighted by the beautiful artwork and colorful atmosphere. It’s a large place and accommodates a lot of parties. The staff was extremely friendly, we were checked on several times. The parking was easy as well as getting a table on a Saturday evening. Now for the food, I had the street tacos with goat meat. They were absolutely delicious. My party also enjoyed some large burritos. The chips and salsa always make the restaurant for me. And they were very good, fresh and flavorful. We had a side of guacamole and plantains. Which just added to us being overly full when we left. I would highly recommend. And I look forward to visiting again when I am back in Fairfax.

One of my favorite restaurants in the dmv. However, we waited for 30minutes for a server to come to our table once we were seated this past Sunday. Once we brought it to their attention, our waiter was very nice. Other than that, the service has always been good. Food has ALWAYSSS been delicious. Also, their margaritas!! The portions you get & the quality of the food are very well worth the price!
