We just left and had an Absolutely AMAZING experience! Our server was great and our chef was AWESOME! He was so funny and interacted with all of the kids at the table. Not to mention the food was absolutely beyond amazing. Not a single thing was anything less then perfect! And there was plenty of leftovers to take home for a whole separate dinner. This was an experience our family won’t forget and can’t wait to repeat! Worth every dollar!

I visited Yamato tonight with my son and had high expectations since everyone I talked to hyped it up and compared it to The House of Japan.
I ordered the Hibachi Combo Steak & Chicken. The steak was fine, flavorful and cooked correctly. The chicken was dry. I enjoyed the fried rice.
I didn’t like that I couldn’t customize the plate because if I could I would’ve done double steak and double fried rice since I don’t really care for noodles. The food was overall fine but I did not eat the noodles or chicken and I would have preferred to have more of a choice of what goes in my plate like I do when dining at House of Japan especially if I’m paying $35 for the meal.
I like that the atmosphere had a warm and cozy vibe and the cleanliness of the restaurant was top tier. My server was interactive with my 3 year old and very nice, respectful and quick with service. The wine was also delicious.
Overall I give it a 6 out of 10 and I don’t find it comparable to House of Japan regardless of what my friends say.

It was very busy when I went and they were about to close I ordered ahead made sure I checked the time before ordering. I was given a 10 card I can use for next time for my wait. But honestly people need to be more respectful of other people’s work place when the place is closing. They have life’s and have to clean up after customers after they all leave,be more respectful they work hard.

I recently dined at Yamato in Marysville and ordered the combo hibachi chicken and New York steak. The chicken was decent, tender and flavorful enough, but the New York steak was a major letdown. It came out overcooked and had the texture of beef jerky. Chewing through it was more of a workout than a meal.
Adding to the experience, the air conditioner above our table was dripping condensation onto the surface, which was both distracting and unappetizing. Between the water drops and the tough steak, it made for a less-than-pleasant visit. Yamato has potential, but this visit missed the mark.

I reached out to this Location to see if they could make me a very specific dish (the owner said yes and she was FANTASTIC). The food was excellent, the drinks were amazing and I had a overall wonderful experience. P.S. Jack Dow (the guy a couple reviews under here) needs to know how to click the “directions” button instead of calling and asking for direction. It’s 2022 not 1962.
