Local spot with a big name & a few locations. This was the first Sheik that I came to around 15yrs ago. Other locations have slight variations in flavors in food or drink (cherry limeadie) for example.

They say “don’t judge a book by its cover,” and I guess I should have taken that advice a lot sooner. I just visited The Sheik, a sandwich shop that turned out to be very good. The outside of the building might make you think it’s just a little hole-in-the-wall, but inside, the staff was friendly, joking around, and providing fast service.
I went with their most popular item, the Steak in a Sack, a steak sandwich in a pita. The steak was hot, peppery, and delicious, and the price was very reasonable. I’ll definitely be back.

One of the best breakfast pita in Jacksonville. Always super fast and clean, quality service here you can tell the management at this Sheik location are top notch. The people who work the drive thru window are the BEST hands down, friendly and efficient.

I have moved 6 hours away but go here anytime I’m in town. GREAT Food and the best limeade anywhere! Get a Steak in a sack with cheese and you will be hooked. I been eating here since it open this location, almost 50 years.

There breakfast pitas are a little smaller ( they used not to be back in the day ) than the competition, they do taste good but the reason why I’m giving them such a low rating is because they charge you for using your card without telling you which I feel is dishonest. So be on the lookout that you’ll get an extra $0.50 charge when using your card. At least that’s what happened to me when I just used my card yesterday to buy breakfast there.

Food was up to standard but I didn’t care for seating very much. One side had the drive through people looking at you while eating, kinda creepy. The other side had sun coming in the big windows . So I chose the creepies. Place was clean and service great. Get the big breakfast platter.
