Mmmm, food poisoning.
The absolute dirtiest restaurant I’ve ever entered. The serving counter hasn’t been cleaned today. Each food container had 4-5 other ingredients spilled. Meat in the cheese, rice floating in the beans, etc. There are flies everywhere. The cooking area in back, from what we can see, is even worse. Bathrooms are dirty, floor was dirty, and the floors and walls desperately need an update. I witnessed multiple food handling violations, including a dirty serving spoon being used in vegetables and meat.
I suggest you don’t risk eating here.

I ordered nachos today through the app for take out. I picked up the bag labeled with my name, drove the 4 miles home and discovered that it wasn’t my order. There was another receipt taped to the inside with another name and that person’s order, which was completely different from mine and including cilantro, which to me is inedible. I drove the 4 miles back to get it fixed, which they did, but I got nothing for my trouble other than a “sorry.” Any place else would’ve at least offered a free drink if not a meal coupon. This is not the first time this has happened, and I’m just done with this place. If you can’t get my order right, at least compensate me for my trouble.

The meat and dressing tasted off. Flies and other insects crawling around and on our food. Even the entry sign had bird poop everywhere. Understaffed- only one girl helping the line, the other 3 were all helping the drive through. Would not recommend.

I normally love cafe rio and I want to say I will continue to love it, but I have consistently been given poor quality food and service from this location when I get food picked up. I consistently come home to find forgotten sauces, wrong toppings, and had the serving of pulled pork be just a large chunk of fat. According to their staff today, they’ve now downsized their regular queso serving for chips to a container 1/3rd the size of what it was prior. I used to be willing to deal with a simple mistake or small lost quality in what they gave me, but when there is a problem with my meal every time, I’m not sure it’s worth it anymore.

Hurts me to post this review because I love Cafe Rio and the food has always been amazing! Unfortunately today though when I was eating my salad I found a fly. This is so disgusting that I don’t think I could ever eat at this location again. I seriously caution you to think twice before coming here. The number I called was helpful at getting me a refund so that was good but I also think the health inspector need to come by and do an inspection now.

I haven’t been to Cafe Rio in the last 10 years. Everything best seemed old and not taken care of. At this location, the diving area felt like i was in a big open room that was dark and gloomy. The food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Definitely a different experience than going to costa Vida in our town.

I love coming to this location. It is always a treat to come through. I love the drive thru my girl Beth is fanatstic . She gives the best customer service and is always so kind and goes above and beyond. Beth is such a joy when she recognizes you as a regular. And can’t forget Cam. I’ve been here multiple times over the past month and have consistently been unimpressed with the customer service. Eye rolls, annoyed looks, and snappy responses make it uncomfortable to be a customer. In addition, the kitchen and seating areas are very dirty. With Chipotle opening across the street, they’ll likely be getting my business instead.
